This is the second Presto cooker/steamer I've purchased. The first one (0603), in particular, was excellent. I didn't realize it was a different model when I bought this one (06006). That didn't bother me too much, even though it was a lot smaller. The basket is the most serious flaw in this design. Look at the basket on this one, which we bought about 5 months ago. The metal is collapsing due to its brittleness. The holes in the basket are dissolving and breaking apart, and I won't be able to use it any longer because I don't want my family to eat small pieces of metal. br>Now that I'm aware of the difference, I'm going to buy Model 06003.
I adore them, and they perform admirably. br>br>So why am I giving it only three stars? That dangling magnetic cord. It just disconnects on each of them without any effort. I'm suddenly aware that my food has ceased to cook. It's extremely irritating. As a result, I'll have to hold it together with a clamp from my workshop and silicone wedges. It works perfectly after that. br>br>The 4th of July, 2001: "The U. The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) collaborated with Underwriters Laboratories (UL) to create a new safety standard that requires ""break-resistant"" materials. power cords for electric deep fryers should be kept at a minimum. If a child pulls on the new power cord, it will break away, preventing the deep fryer from tipping over and spilling scalding hot cooking oil on the child. Electric fondues and electric multi-cookers must also comply with the new rules. Cooking oil-based pots are used for a variety of purposes. " cpsc. If only Presto had a more powerful magnet. govbr>br> Customer service at Presto is rated 5 out of 5 stars.
Our deep- When our fryer broke, we bought the small 'kettle' to use while we looked for a new "big" one. br>Well, if you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, this is This little sweetheart is in charge of everything. Fries, steams, and simmers are all things that come to mind when thinking of cooking. br>For hummingbirds, we make sugar water, and we have honey. bees. Both nectars should not be allowed to boil - We simply add water and sugar to the kettle, stir, and set the temperature to 200 degrees Fahrenheit. There's no need to keep an eye on the pot any longer. br>In addition to raising chickens for their delicious eggs, we also raise them for meat. However, as most of you are aware, peeling a farm-fresh tomato can be a time-consuming process. If you boil an egg, it's almost impossible to get a fresh one, but if you steam them, it's a different story. And the shell is easily removed. Now I know how to make egg salad, potato salad, and deviled eggs. with a minimum of fuss br>Folks, take me seriously. This little gem is an excellent addition to your kitchen arsenal. br>It could be minor. However, it's a bombshell!.
I've had at least four or five of these deep frying kettles. This kettle can be used to steam or deep fry food. I purchase the large kettle for my own use. It's only for making French Fries that I use it for. This was a gift, so I bought it small. br>br>I'm going to be honest with you: these kettles won't last more than a year or two. However, I am referring to the ones that I have purchased. br>br>I am NOT complaining in the least. I'll be happy if they last a year. Even if it doesn't last long, this deep fryer is well worth the money. The best French Fries can be made with this product. That is, of course, just my personal opinion. This is why I keep buying this Kettle; I feel like I get my money's worth. I don't know how long it will last if you only use it once in a while. Again, this kettle is well-made, and it is well worth the money for the amount of use I get out of it. The magnetic plug at the bottom of the kettle shorts out when the kettle starts to go out. I tried everything I could think of to get it to work. Throw it away once it begins to do so. br>This is, without a doubt, the best deep fryer I've ever used.
This is a fantastic product that turned my fish into a golden brown masterpiece! It appeals to me.
I bought this presto machine when I decided to start making candles myself. My husband drilled a hole in it and attached a spout, and I used it to melt my wax. Love it.
Better construction used to be the standard. First and foremost, I'd like to state that we've been fans of the Presto Fryer/Kitchen Kettle for at least 25 years. I've had at least five of these over the years, and we've all loved them until we got this one. br>Benefits - Cook the food in a uniform manner. br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product. On the Amazon site (which they have since changed), the basket in the picture was full size, and the box it came in was incorrectly labeled. The included basket is smaller and flimsier, and it has a hard time staying on the rim. Because it doesn't lock well, the handle gets hot as well and has fallen off several times. All of the other fryers we purchased included a full-size basket with a non-burning handle. We despise it and continue to use the basket from our previous purchase until we can afford to replace it. Second, one of the reasons I've bought this so many times is that it can be washed in the dishwasher. That is awesome. This is the first one where all of the screws in the handles, legs, and bottom have rusted. The screws on the fry basket rusted as well (as seen in the photos). There's a lot of rust on the paper towels when I dry it off, and I have no idea how to fix it. The bottom appears to be strange as well. br>br>Compared to what it used to be, Presto has made this at a lower cost. This one has let both my family and me down. After eight months, I'm going to upgrade to a better-built brand.
