Questions & Answers
Make sure you don't set fire to your home. Purchase an outdoor burner and have a good time.
The pot is 15 inches tall and 12 inches wide, and I'd guess it weighs around 5 pounds, but that's just a guess. It's a well-made stainless steel pot with a thick gauge. In addition, the insert is very durable. I've owned and used a lot of steam pots over the years, and this is by far the best. The proportions are ideal, neither too large nor too small. The pot is not thin; the walls and bottom are both quite thick, and it can withstand a lot of heat. It withstands my outdoor propane burner admirably. The steamer basket sits too low in the pot, which is my only complaint. I raised my steamer basket about 1 1/2 inches by using stainless steel bolts, washers, and nuts. The lis is still secure, and I can get a good steam going without the food in the bottom of the basket coming into contact with the water. This is a pot that I strongly recommend; you will not be disappointed.

I recently purchased the One Fryer 32 qt pot for turkey frying because I've had bad luck with aluminum pots in the past due to pin hole leaks after a few uses. High-quality stainless steel was advertised by the seller. When I first looked at the pot, I thought it was well-made and finished. I drilled a small hole in the lid because there was none for a thermometer. Because I'm a Metallurgical Engineer, I took the lid to work and used an X-ray machine to examine the composition. Ray Fluorescence instrument determined it was made of a very low quality 200 Series Stainless steel, which is commonly substituted for higher quality 304 SS to save money by substituting Manganese for Nickel and lowering the Chrome content to a level that only makes it technically a stainless steel, albeit one with poor corrosion resistance when compared to the better quality grades. As a result, I give the deceptive advertising two stars. I did cook a turkey in the pot, but I won't know how well it works until I've had it for a while.
Stainless isn't supposed to rust, so I used it to boil/steam lobster last year and then stored it in the garage. I put it to use this season and found that wherever there was the most heat, it was solidly rusted. Even the lower basket began to rust; it was far too expensive for a one-season pot, so save your money.
Our old turkey fryer had sprung a leak, so we bought a new one before Thanksgiving. The quality and size of the pot were both excellent. The turkey weighed about 16 pounds and was perfectly proportioned.
So far, we've fried three turkeys in it. It can hold up to a 20-pound turkey, but it must be handled with extreme caution. br> This is a fantastic vessel. It appears to be well-suited to the task at hand.
The pot was extremely well-made and held up well to the high flame. I placed it on top of my 270K btu GasOne outdoor burner, which I purchased earlier this year. They complement each other perfectly. I can't wait to fry some other things or do a crawfish boil in here! I was hesitant to buy a pot made in China because of the cheap stainless steel, but this one is well worth the money. It Isn't Everything You are not paying for All-Clad quality, but you are paying for Clad quality. Clad costs - This pot is capable of completing a task.
The bottom of the pot has a ding that will most likely wear out over time, but the shipping box was fine. Today is Thanksgiving, and I'll be frying a turkey, so I won't be able to return it. As a result, I can only give it one star. It's a real pain.
So far, I've only used it once. I steamed a couple of blue crabs. Everything went smoothly. Only wish they'd included something to put in the bottom of the pot so the steamer's bottom didn't get wet.
This is a fantastic steam pot that is just the right size for steaming, scalding, or boiling. I adore this pot because it is sturdy and can withstand the heat of an outdoor propane burner. You will not be disappointed if you purchase this pot!.
