Questions & Answers
This is not the case.
An induction burner will not heat the wire mesh because it is non-magnetic stainless steel. If the pot you're frying or blanching in is heated by the induction burner, you might be able to use it for deep frying or blanching. The basket is lifted off the burner by the feet on its bottom. Heat transfer from an induction burner will be even more difficult as a result of this.
It does not, no.
Yes? Exceptional item.

The most effective deep frying basket available. It has met my expectations. It appears to be more thorough than the others I've seen. It's also the only deep frying basket made entirely of stainless steel. The others are nickel and rust, so I looked for the best basket to use with my stainless steel dutch oven for frying, and I found it. There's no need to go elsewhere. This is the basket to have if you want to deep fry on your stovetop. It comes highly recommended from me.
The handle does not come with any instructions for assembly. I think I've figured it out, but it's very loose and wobbly, which isn't encouraging considering I'll be handling this near extremely hot oil. This could be the deciding factor in whether or not this basket is purchased. I may need to look for something with a more durable handle. It's one of the few stainless steel items I found, but it's a bummer that it's made in China when I'm trying to support American businesses. The remaining contents of the basket appear to be in good condition. It's the handle that's causing me to second guess myself.
The pan is fantastic, but the basket is less so. The basket will not be supported by the flimsy, weak handle and hook, and even if it were, half of the basket would still be submerged in hot oil. They did drop the ball on the basket, but the pan is in good shape. I'm still on the hunt for a more suitable basket.
This basket is made of stainless steel and has a substantial grid. It works well in my enameled cast iron dutch oven, which I bought it for. The hanging clip, which fits on the edge of my pan without damaging the enamel and allows oil to drain away from the food, is one of my favorites. Another benefit is the ease of cleaning; it fits in the dishwasher, and if there is any food stuck to the mesh, a five-minute soak in the sink with a clothing dryer sheet dislodges any food stuck to the mesh, after which I put it in the dishwasher.
I had convinced myself that I had purchased the ideal stovetop deep fryer. It turns out that is not the case. When the oil reached 350 degrees, the handles on the pot were too hot to handle, even with my mitts on. The lid was also too hot to handle. This product does not make me feel safe, but it is too late to return it. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it.
Just a smidgeon too long to avoid touching the grease when draining the food after removing it from the frying pan, but everything else was fantastic!.
Because the baskets are made of stainless steel, the chrome plating on the cheaper plain steel baskets will not peel away. Although there is a problem with the handle, it is easily folded and stored. With an induction cooktop, it fits my cast iron 5 quart pot.
This deep fryer is one of my favorite kitchen appliances. It's made of stainless steel that's thick and strong, and it's quite large. Everything tastes great when it is fried. Tonight I fried some fish, and it turned out perfectly.
