In the case of dual 60, yes. Due to not having a model, I do not know about the Duo 80.
It is true that the smell cannot dissipate since the materials are mixed with plastic. Hence, it is necessary to replace it with a new one when there is a strong smell.

It had leaked horribly twice before when I had tried the new, clear sealing ring, but I decided to give it another try in the spirit of fairness. I examined the ring closely before I started, and you'd never guess it, but there was some silicone on part of it, like a little drip. When I replaced the ring (I put the logo on the bottom part, and didn't know if it made any difference or not), it scratched off, and I can no longer see the logo. In the booklet that came with the machine, I followed the "getting started" instructions and set it for two minutes with three cups of water, and it worked perfectly! It's so nice, because I was concerned about getting ripped off since I am past the return window, and I HATE it when I do. I hope you find a solution for your seal ring problem if you are having trouble and perhaps it will get it working once again).
There was a leak from both. The instant pot brand says they're the same, but I did compare them to the original that came with my Instant Pot and they are not identical, even though their description says they're.
Our Instapot came with a factory one, so I ordered these ones to replace it. I placed a ring in the lid for about a month and after that, it cracked. It took me five minutes to put it on (5/6 cooks) when I went to put the other one in, it was The cracks on these ones are likely caused by a lack of flexibility, as they have little flexibility. Years of use went by without a crack. The smell was the only reason for getting rid of it. It is recommended that you choose a different product since these are not good If I could get a refund, that would be great.
I can't believe they exist! Although these DO NOT seal, I'm not sure how some were able to get them to work. I just got a replacement set as I wasn't sure whether or not the first ones were defective, but the steam keeps escaping on all sides and has caused my Instant Pot to rust. This is my second replacement set as I wanted to make sure I didn't just get damaged ones. A second reason is that the new ring is smaller than the original one and very difficult to wear, SO WHY DON'T THEY USE THE ORIGINAL RINGS THAT It seems strange to make replacement parts of a different quality and size? Having tried other IP addresses as well, all of them leak! So I can't use this one anymore! Prepare your Instant Pot for a good seal and get it done!.
In my order, I selected the two-pack. Having only used one sealing ring, I can't speak for the rest. provided a perfect fit and a perfect working experience. Several reviewers were sent the wrong IP sealer or no IP sealer at all. My assumption is that the sealing rings I received are genuine IP.
The Instant Pot IP was acting up for me - I purchased a DUO that wasn't properly sealing. All the lid would do is close, but all the sensors would say it was closed, yet there would never be any pressure build up, and all the people on the bottom would just burn, and it would fail to cook the top. I figured it was just a problem with the gasket, since, when I took the lid off, it was a little stretched out and wasn't placed correctly. Definitely worth it to keep one on hand as a backup in case this one wears out. Doesn't have much of a smell to it unless you put your nose right on top of it, but I would call it a normal gasket smell.
The original seals needed to be replaced mainly because of SMELL, plus there was an issue where the pot stopped sealing properly and blew hot soup all over my counter (I was watching TV in the other room) so I decided to replace them. When instant pots are cooking under pressure, it should take no longer than 20 minutes to bring the water to a boil and seal the release valve pop up. Your seals may be failing if this is the case. Once a year, you should replace your seals, according to the manual. Two bags are available one for spicy food and one for sweets like yogurt. The new seals retain smell pretty much the same way as the old ones. I find it to be the one major negative of the.
In any case, it caused a big problem for me, since I was cooking sweet items and even if I cleaned and sanitized my pot, rings, and other pieces, it still smelled like my savory cooking (I makes Indian and Mediterranean food a lot). These formed THE BEST seal for me after I bought them. Currently, we use three rings one for sweets, one for savory items, and one for sterilization. In other reviews I have seen complainers about third-party rings that did not fit the InstantPot, but this one fits perfect. Having used this item, I am extremely pleased with it You will not be disappointed with this purchase, even if it costs more than others.
