The most difficult part was finding a microwave plate that fit (one had to be returned). I was able to locate it thanks to other reviewers who included model numbers in their comments.
None were available locally, so I turned to Amazon and discovered this seller had them available, and for less than the local appliance repair shops were quoting, so I took a chance and ordered. The following day, I received it. My wife was extremely grateful that I was able to save our Thanksgiving meal. Thanks to Prime, I was able to get the right part at the right price and it was delivered VERY quickly.
Given that this was a new item with no reviews, I was skeptical, but it arrived sooner than expected, looks and functions exactly as the original, and fits perfectly. We have an old Whirlpool microwave, model WMH1163XVS-, that we'd like to get rid of.
I assumed it would be easy to replace our microwave plate after it was broken. I had made a huge mistake. This "third time's the charm" finally fit after two tries! I'm overjoyed; it's a nice weight and matches my old one perfectly. I think. I was never a big fan of the original. If you have a WIDE turning mechanism, as I do, this is a great one to try!.
It worked perfectly with a Whirlpool microwave whose glass tray had shattered after a decade of use. It's not quite the same weight/thickness as the OEM, but it works fine and I wouldn't have noticed if they weren't next to each other. To make sure it'll work with your microwave/tray, look at the configuration in the center.
If you're wondering if this will work for Maytag, it did for my model mmv1164ww2 cross reference part 4393799, which was twice the price. By the way, the tray is compatible with a variety of manufacturers.
My microwave is nearly 20 years old, and I'm not sure if I'll be able to find one. So happy to be surprised! THANK YOU SO MUCH!.
It's just as nice as the original, and it's a lot less expensive than buying directly from the microwave's manufacturer.
