The Zojirushi bread machines that I have used for years are still going strong. At the third machine, I replace the paddle since the teflon coating started to wear off. As a result, the paddles fall off the shafts, and the guide at the end of the shaft is so small that it would slowly eat away at them. It's better to go back to the old style shafts. My old paddles were actually retrofitted by filing out the stop on one side of the hole, and I was able to use them. The originals are much more expensive, but these are much more comfortable.

Even after 17 years, the thing is still working but with the advances in technology, I want the best. But my mom, who no longer cooks, followed the instructions to the letter and that thing is still going strong. On the other hand, I am the type of person who likes to push the envelope and double the recipe when the manual says it's not recommended. I was disappointed that the new Zojirushi Virtuose breadmaker, made in Korea, did not produce the dough I expected after 4 years. As I looked at the unit through the window, I saw that one of the paddles was spinning freely and the dough was not mixing. attempted to make a washer using a plastic strip but it failed miserably several times until I considered it a last resort and bought a new part. It worked perfectly In addition, the dulce de leche caramel nut croissant is The paddle gave out from overwork, so I know the machine was overworked. If I had to choose between buying a new paddle or replacing my burned out motor, I would rather buy a new paddle. Do I need to follow the recipe step by step? We could not have fun if this were the case. There is some advice online that said you should not use a bread maker with a mixer, food processor, or Vitamix.

This paddle was bought for our Zojirushi bread machine because the paddle that came with it had worn out (the inner slot had become rounded, so it wouldn't turn), so we ordered two of them. I was able to replace the original immediately with the new one, as it fit perfectly and snugly. The machine has been reinstalled several times since the replacement, and it works perfectly every time. The piece is nothing flashy or elaborate, but it does exactly what it has to.
