The Good: The basket is a good size - the liner and cover are made of a nice quality weighty fabric that washes well and looks nice, and the basket is a good size - the liner and cover are made of a nice quality weighty fabric that washes well and looks nice. It's the perfect size, neither too big nor too small. The Drawbacks: br>br> The cover's colossal logo is unwelcome. It gives the impression that my table is for sale. The quality of the basket is poor. The fabric should have been thicker and higher quality. Like some of my other baskets, it probably should have been glazed with a food-safe finish. It has a dull appearance, feels cheap and lightweight, is brittle, and pieces easily break off because loose ends of the material are left hanging rather than tucked in and secured. br>br>It's too late for me to return this at this point, but if I'd known how I'd feel, I would have returned it. I'm not going to buy it again.
The company that is selling it is incredible. I needed a replacement cover and received word within an hour or so that they would send one to me, which they did. The communication was excellent, as was the product; I used it for Thanksgiving, and everyone complimented the basket on how nice it was and how well it kept the bread warm throughout the meal. I can't say enough good things about the seller and the product; you won't be disappointed if you buy it!.
Despite the large, dark logo, which I personally would have preferred to be removed but which I was able to remove with a thread remover and 30 minutes of elbow grease, this is an attractive table basket. It's a good size for a family of five, and the cover, which has a bread warmer inside, is very useful for keeping the bread warm for about 20 minutes into a meal. After a few months of use, the elastic cord inside the cover snapped, and the cover now hangs with large gaps on the basket, giving it the appearance of a huge overbite; I'll have to make another sewing project out of it and replace the elastic.
Unfortunately, the basket arrived broken, and the cover was not sewn correctly, causing it to come apart; however, the box it arrived in was fine, so I'm guessing it was damaged during shipping.
It's fine if you just want to use it as a serving basket, but I wanted to use it for leftover challah (Jewish bread), which we usually have during and after Shabbos. The bread lasted only a few hours. I'm sure I'll come back for more.
It appeals to me. I'm the mother of three boys in elementary school. I can make fresh biscuits/bread in the morning and store them in the lovely container with the lid on. It keeps my family's bread fresh and ready to eat. It looks nice and keeps the bread warm.
I haven't tried it yet, but I intend to do so during the holidays. It's just right for our 8-person gatherings. a group of ten people The fact that it comes with a cloth cover to keep the breads warm and fresh is appealing to me.
I contacted Nicole, Artizanka's founder, and she promptly dispatched the covers. Excellent customer service; I'm considering buying some of their proofing baskets and trying my hand at bread baking.
