We were very excited to receive the items so that we could make our own Sushi. I unpacked the box and began disassembling it, but there were no instructions for the Bazooka piece. I had to do some research and watch some YouTube videos to figure out how to use it. You'd think that each piece would come with a sheet with instructions on how to use it. DUH.
For ham-fisted blokes like myself, this is a fantastic product.
All of the different ways to make sushi appeal to me greatly. A piece of spam fits perfectly in the musubi mold. The mats were done in a very traditional manner. The "sushi popper," on the other hand, is a good time. It was able to produce rolls that were perfectly shaped. Make sure to use sticky rice; 1/2 cup per side worked well.
This kit appeals to me. There were a lot of size options, and the quality was better than some I'd seen in stores before; the only drawback was that it didn't come with any instructions. It worked out because I was able to locate a few different websites that provided clear instructions.
Despite the fact that it did not come with instructions, the sushi bazooka is fairly simple to use. It's almost self-contained. We watched a YouTube video for minor details like how to put the groove in the middle of the plate to add your sushi, avocado, and other items. br> The issue arises when it comes time to cut the sushi roll. We tried three different razor-sharp knives, and each one squishes the roll or causes it to fall apart during the cutting process. We tried inside items that were dryer, cold rice, and warm rice (along with rice vinegar and all of the rice).
This is something that my ten-year-old son adores. It was very simple to use for them, and the results were fantastic. The knife is a little flimsy in my opinion, but it cuts the sushi roll very well. The pandas are adorable, and they're a great way to show that we don't just put our chopsticks on the counter or stab food with them.
This isn't a major issue- Chopsticks that match each other are inexpensive and simple to find. What was even more problematic was the disappearance of a child from one of the molds. There are also no instructions, but thanks to YouTube, this is less of an issue.
This was a gift for my daughter, who enjoys sushi, and she used it the first day and said it was very simple. She was extremely pleased with herself.
