I adore the mug as well as the box. However, there are some flaws in the design of the mug. That is something I could have overlooked if it hadn't been for the fact that someone had the brilliant idea of taping this lovely box shut with packaging tape! What could possibly motivate them to do so? Why not use bubble wrap or paper to wrap the box and then tape it? The box has ugly scratches on the sides that weren't taped and is bubbled up where I pulled the tape from. I bought it for myself with the intention of putting it on display. Giving this as a gift would make me feel bad.

My mother used to collect really tacky, ugly owl figurines when I was a kid. Her owl decor was never one of my favorites. But now that she's gone, seeing owl-themed decor makes me think of her and make me smile and laugh. In memory of her, I even purchased an owl Christmas tree ornament that I embellished with silver sequins and glitter. But I'm still not a big fan of owls, so it has to be incredibly cute and appealing to entice me to buy it. This mug drew my attention first because of the vibrant colors, and then because of the powerful inspirational scripture, which I can read every time I drink tea or coffee and think of my mother. I realize this is a corny, sappy review, but that's why I bought this mug in the first place. This is something I'm sure my mother would have appreciated. Also, what a cute gift box! I'll fill it with cosmetics or jewelry.

The mug was particularly appealing - I bought it for a friend, and it's perfect. The box was adorable, but the Amazon packaging ruined it. "Comes with matching gift box," according to the Amazon description. " You don't expect them to use packing tape to keep the top from coming off, do you?" I'm surprised it arrived in one piece, given how lightly padded the envelope was. I've had Amazon pack items that are completely unbreakable in large boxes with multiple layers of protection. The top of the box should have been secured with something removable, such as a rubber band, and the box should have been wrapped in bubble wrap before being shipped in another box. I'm irritated to the point of rage!.

It was, however, well packaged. Is it possible that it was stepped on or that it came from the factory this way? In any case, I contacted Amazon as well as a third party. The level of communication was excellent. I was sent another mug, which arrived well-packaged with a little extra padding inside the box to keep the handle in the slot, and everything worked out fine. It had to be a glitch the first time around. So, if it weren't for that, it'd be a 5, but the NEW mug sent appears to be quite sturdy. It'd make a great present. It's not quite big enough for me, but it'll do.

I really like the cup, and I thought the box would be perfect for giving as a gift. However, I only received the box and no lid when I received the package. As a result, I can no longer give it as a gift with the box; instead, I must give it as a cup only. The cup, as well as a portion of the box, are both attractive. All I need now is the lid to finish it. I'm not sure why my packaging didn't come with a lid. I couldn't find any way to get in touch with the seller, either.

These were purchased as a present for an owl-loving relative. It appeals to her. When I got it and opened the package, it far exceeded my expectations. It was lovely in the picture on the website, but even more so when I saw it up close. Furthermore, because the box is so attractive and long-lasting, it can be used for a variety of purposes. It's almost as if you're getting two gifts for the price of one! Also, I ordered this right before Christmas, and it arrived in a timely manner!.
