I believe to the brim, but when you take the glass out, the water drops dramatically, so it's unclear how much it can hold. The inner part was extremely delicate and eventually broke. They immediately replaced it with one that was much more powerful.
Borrosilicate is a type of glass.
You could, but the point of this exercise is to use "loose leaf" tea. You put the loose leaf tea in the little cup inside the 10 oz glass cup and let it simmer for 3 to 4 minutes before removing the "little inside cup" with the "reusable" loose leaf tea and drinking the tea from the 10 oz cup. From a "little inside bowl" of loose leaf tea, 2 to 4 cups of tea can be made. I also get my tea from Amazon.
It's a sturdy glass container that will hold up in the microwave; I've had one for over a year, in and out of the dishwasher, and it's still going strong.

It depicts the flower as if it were a tea bag or tea leaves that would be placed in a cup to brew tea. The cup is made up of three pieces and looks exactly like the picture: the infuser, the lid, and the cup Place your tea bag or loose leaf tea in the infuser cup and set it inside the drinking cup with hot water to steep. Remove the infuser cup when it's done to your liking and add sugar, cream, etc. You can cover it with a lid to keep dirt out and keep it warm for longer. It's the ideal size and well-made. It's not fair to give it a low score just because you thought it had a flower on it or was broken. Things breaking doesn't mean the company or product is bad, and whether or not the cup has a decoration, it still functions properly. My own is something I use every day and am very pleased with.
This tea glass is one of my favorites. I've been using it all day, every day since I bought it because it's pretty, functional, and it fits in my arthritic hand perfectly. I dropped the infuser on my marble countertops last night, and it cracked, so I'm going to have to buy a new one. Fortunately, loose tea can be steeped multiple times, so I'll have a second cup to share with a friend.
Several "laser-cut" elements can be found in the insert. Unlike most tea strainers, it has "slim" slots in it that allow water to seep through but not a single leaf bit to pass through. The entire piece is made of delicate glass, and it is absolutely stunning. I'm so happy with this product that I'm going to buy a few more to keep on hand as gifts for special occasions. And it cost about the same as a tea strainer on its own. I've since bought two more for myself and two more for my daughter. We've given them as gifts to special friends along with an assortment of loose teas because they're so lovely.
For loose leaf and blooming teas, these are fantastic single serving tea cups. They're just extremely fragile; the first one arrived broken despite ample packing materials, and the replacement provided by Amazon broke after only a few days. Aside from that, they're great for a quick tea break at work.
Making a cup of loose-leaf tea is simple thanks to the design. It's very simple to make leaf tea, whether I boil water in a kettle and pour it through the infuser or heat water in a cup and carefully place the infuser in. With higher-quality twisted whole-wheat flour, you can make your own twisted whole Only a small amount of leaf passes through the infuser when making leaf teas. There's a smidgeon of tea in there somewhere. When brewing at a lower temperature, add leaf litter to the cup. Teas that have more fragmented leaves at the end are more enjoyable. My first impression is that it's a little flimsy and won't hold up to a lot of punishment. It receives five stars for doing an excellent job at what I considered to be a difficult task. the cheapest price.
Based on what it appears to be, I assumed there would be no loose tea or, at the very least, very little loose tea, but I've had several loose teas; I only let it sit for a minute, but it immediately sinks all of the leaves to the bottom of the cup, forcing me to drink both the tea and the leaves. The only way I can see it working is if you pour it in and then remove it right away.
This is one of my favorite cups for loose tea. With the lid on, I allowed it to steep. When I remove the strainer from the cup, I use the lid of an older glass cup as a holder for it. A flat bottom lid that could be turned upside down to hold the strainer would be better for this cup. This is an excellent product for those of us who are allergic to metals.
The product is of good quality and is simple to operate. The diffuser part's slits should be narrower. Some tea leaves make it through, and I have to strain them out.
