Questions & Answers

The temperature of my chest freezer must be kept at 70 degrees. What do I need to do to keep it there?

As far as wiring is concerned, there is no need, since there is a relay located at the big plug that turns on and off the freezer. In general, you plug in the controller into a wall outlet and the freezer into that. The copper thermocouple is then placed in your freezer and the dial is set. The controller may be a little off on temperature, so you will want to leave a thermometer in the freezer to make sure it's still frozen. Here's some information I hope is helpful.

Is it possible to buy just the gas filled probe on a 6-foot probe Can you use a capillary tube on your foot? There's a possibility that the tip was damaged and is no longer functioning properly. ?

There is a possibility that the piece may be covered by a warranty even though we don't sell individual pieces. You should contact the seller to have them send a message to the manufacturer.

My second freezer fried after I moved the dial while the freezer was on (Haier freezer). Could it be related to my moving the dial while the freezer was turned on?

this is to be used on a freezer, make sure the freezer is set to its coldest possible To the desired set point, bring the temperature up by 2C. In the event you do not set the freezer at the lowest setting, it will "short cycle" the compressor and prematurely burn out the motor windings. My opinion is that it may have been partly due to the fact that it was a Haier freezer, something made in China that I regarded as inferior.

Is it possible to use this refrigerator to control the freezer while keeping the refrigerator at the normal 35-degree temperature What does 40 degrees mean?

My guess would be no, but I could be wrong. It cuts off the power to the refrigerator and freezer when the door is open and since most refrigerators and freezers only have one outlet, you can't control both from here.

Do you really need a $2000 wine cooler with 20 cubic feet of storage? For my upright freezer 19, I will use this
5/5

An old 5 cu ft refrigerator was converted for use as Temperatures have consistently remained at 55F. A majority of the capillary tube coil should be placed inside the compartment midway between top and bottom, and the control area should only be filled with a minimum amount of copper. By reducing the cycling of the compressor and turning the thermostat on the FREEZER as cold as possible, you will save energy. It is possible that you will need to make minor adjustments to the A19AAT In order to achieve your desired temperature, you will need to raise it by 2C. Once you get your temperature right, you won't need to change it In my system I keep the whites on the bottom (it remains cooler there) and the reds on top. In any case, the temperature is not 2F above or below zero Beginning at the top and ending at the I was able to save a lot of money using this device instead of buying an expensive, fancy.

The product did what I had expected it to do
5/5

Two of these are being converted into refrigerators since they were bought to convert chest freezers from Frigidaire (FGCH25M8LW). The thermostat appearing to shut off the power to the compressor did not make much sense to me, and no real evidence was provided to suggest that it was going to harm the life The only thing I did poorly (and that was relatively obvious in retrospect) was to initially leave the gas-filled sensor inside the freezer and run the remaining copper tubing to the controller outside the freezer. My brain sank in as I realized that was probably a stupid idea because it would still leave a significant surface area exposed to the outside temperature, which would I think that's a simple enough It took me just a few minutes to coil the copper tubing back up, secure it to the inside of the freezer, and mount the controller outside, leaving only a few inches of exposed copper which I enclosed with insulation. Is this overkill? But since that drastic change is too difficult to deal with I no longer have the need to worry about it. The world is a better place because of me. The product itself has no bearing on this aspect, but the use of the product does. In addition to the freezer and "converted" fridge, I had a separate "server-like" console running It's been about a month since I started using Watt meters. When the Frigidaire freezer is set to the factory temperature, it uses 45 watts of power per hour. I have the modded fridge set to 38 degrees and running about 15 watts per hour using the Johnson controller.

My big upright frost-free freezer now operates as a I found it to be very intuitive
5/5

Place the probe inside the freezer and plug it into the jack. Mount the unit on the side of the freezer, plug the plug into this unit, and set the temperature Put a thermometer in the freezer, and make sure to check the temperature often. There is a five-degree difference between my unit and the actual temperature Thus, it is necessary to set the unit at 30 degrees to achieve an approximate 34-degree internal temperature There is 35 degrees in the air. In addition, these lights do not illuminate when the freezer is not in use so when you open the door you do not see the lights flash (unless the freezer is Good construction and sturdiness. There was enough probe for me to put it in the freezer where I needed it to be.

What an amazing thing, now I can use my chest freezer all year round
5/5

It's so cool that I can use my chest freezer all year long now. When we empty it out around July, we typically just let it sit once it's empty. I use my freezer throughout the winter to store my quarry. In the fall I use it as a fridge for the meat I am processing as well as for brewing Kombucha, fermenting, and storing fruit and vegetables so that they can be canned. I'm really digging this thing and the installation is so easy. A temperature range of 65 to 75 degrees seems to be perfect to me.

This function works according to specification
5/5

I think this is a great Any freezer can become a fridge with this device. There is no way to get an accurate temperature from the dial, you need a fridge thermometer to do that. First, my freezer has a temp alarm, so every time the controller turns the freezer on to keep it warm the alarm goes off, and when I turn off the alarm the freezer is turned out and the alarm is reset. If your freezer does not have an alarm, it is not a problem. Second, the freezer sweats on the inside. I'm not sure how to stop it from happening. I just ordered another one for my second freezer, so everything seems to work well.

Is adequate for the task
5/5

I would have thrown away a $400 kegerator that was not temperature-controlled if I had not had this device. Before I bought the controller, I may have ruined 5 kegs in a row. The beer was frozen, the beer was warm, and the beer was ruined. This was the last thing I expected to find. This controller allows you to accurately control the temperature of a kegerator by simply adding the temperature probe to the unit, cranking the temperature down on the kegerator and then using the probe to measure the temperature. No more ruined kegs since it took just 10 minutes to install. This book is highly.

There is a 10 degree difference between the thermometer and the reading
3/5

A correction of 5 degrees has been made. Item number A19AAT- is manufactured by Johnson Controls In my case, I bought the Johnson Controls A19AAT-A Because of all the great reviews, I chose the 2C Temperature Controllers D132. This is amazing. My disappointment was great. I had an error of 10 degrees on my first unit The temperature is too high. It was 5 degrees off from the replacement I ordered The temperature is too high. It must be turned to 33 if I would like 38. This is a huge I enjoy Johnson devices, but this model or production lot didn't work very well, so maybe better luck next time. You can see the second unit taped to my refrigerator since I foolishly applied double-sided tape to the first and had a difficult time taking it off without damaging it.

It is easy to use and can be used to convert a freezer into a refrigerator
4/5

You can convert a freezer to make it work as a refrigerator by using this. A fairly narrow temperature range of between 31 and 34 degree Fahrenheit was required of the device, and it did exactly Despite this, you may need to initially adjust the temperature setting in order to obtain your desired Seven degrees is off from what it should be. As a result, I had to set my freezer at 25 degrees in order to reach 32 As long as the temperature is kept between 7 and plus 7 degrees, it stays there. The setting is very consistent. In my experience, as long as you do not repeatedly bend or move the thermometer, it should be fine. I placed mine halfway down the freezer wall, a little offset from the wall.
