A shallow base and a wide Popcorn bags should not be used for normal popcorn

The scoop works well to sort out most of the seeds from the popcorn, but the base of the scoop is too wide to fit most ordinary In addition, if you do not use bags that hold themselves open, it is too shallow. Although I would like to bend it a bit to give it a better scoop shape at the neck, I’m afraid I would break the handle if I did that. They could have given it an even higher rating if they had considered the design of the base which fits into bags and if the base kept the bag open while filling it with dirt and debris.

Five months have passed since I last used the scoop that came with my Great Northern popcorn machine. In my opinion, this scoop is much more efficient at Movie Nights since it has holes and a flat bottom.

I doubt this is a wise investment

It is identical to that which was included with my Great Northern Popcorn 5800 machine, but there are some holes in it. As with the previous model, it is made with sharp metal and is cheaply made.
