Why did it take me so long? Since I was a child, I've been a FoodSaver juknie user. Being able to stock up on meat when it is on sale and have it as fresh as the day of purchase means I can save a great deal of money. For the most part, I've always used the OEM FoodSaver, and, when possible, I bought the rolls to make the bags myself because it was the Then one day, I came across these bags and thought, "No way, I can't afford that. ". Is this price for ready made bags that are BPA free? Yeah, that's the way to go! I like the quality of the bags. There is even a tear notch on one! The fact that I found pint-sized bags blew my mind, (yes, it doesn't take much more than that), as those are ideal portions for individual serve. The day after they arrived, I sealed 92 bags full of knishes that were shipped from NYC (a major investment that was in danger of freezer burn). Every single bag was In this bunch, there are no wrinkled bags. It has a resealable overpack which makes it a very nice storage solution. You cannot afford to pass these up! It will take you considerably less time to seal without having to measure, cut, and seal things.

It is very convenient to use these tall vacuum bags. I had been cutting and sealing small bags like this from a 100 foot roll until I made this purchase. Half of my time was spent on making something that was already included in the I can say the quality of the bags is no different than other bags I have bought previously. This allows them to contain even the oddest shapes, and even pre-rounded ones Items and foods that have been frozen into pointy shapes. I have been able to seal them without over melting and ruining the heating strip on my vacuum sealer, and my food has stayed frost-free in my freezer for over a month. Thus, these vacuum bags are of good value in every way, and they are as good as more expensive brands.

There are some things you can't eat when you're cooking for two, and some things don't taste right It is hot. The sous vide method, however, retains the "just cooked" flavor, so leftovers will taste as if the food was just cooked. In the prep for the boston butt, we package the leftover BBQ pork in the pint bags, giving a total of 2 sandwiches, pot roast, etc. It used to be that we used quart bags and had too much of them. I buy in bulk and then portion control my purchases in this size bag. This size bag will fit 2 chicken breasts or 4 chicken tenderloins, etc. Also, you can stack them like a deck of cards if you freeze flat. So many recipes in my recipe book call for 2 cups of something besides flour, and there are pint bags which are perfect for serving 2 cups of each kind. Things like chicken, pecans, squash, and even grits and cornmeal are good choices. They are amazing! I adore them!.

It is better to use these bags as they are thicker and seal better than the Food Saver brand. We separate Spanish rice, white rice, black eye peas, and black beans for the refrigerator. Afterwards, we put the pint bags in the refrigerator and eat the side dishes in them. If the seal is properly sealed, there will be no leaks. A whole meal is made in a Instant Pot then transferred to a brown bag. make sure we cut a small slit in the bags for steam to escape before we microwave and serve them. They usually take 45 seconds in a microwave to heat up I have not noticed any leaks. The bags contain a label area on which we write the date so it is easy to rotate food. For the past three years, I have been doing this.

The quality is excellent. My FoodSaver vacuum sealer is ideal for using them. They have never failed to seal for me. I know there won't be any punctures from sharp edges caused by rummaging around in the freezer because of the thickness of the plastic. If anything was previously in them, you can wash and re-use them - depending on what was previously there. Meat that has not been raw. It's perfect for freezing single hamburger patties since it's a pint size. The BPA-free packaging makes them even better.

As I cook for one single person, I like to buy in quantity to save money, so I seal many foods, and these are the most economical and best quality products I have found so far. In using many of the bags, I have not experienced any failures. I am not disappointed in my choice and do not expect to be one either. In our family we raise our own cattle, so we use a lot of vacuum seal bags for meat. The vacuum sealer that I use comes with these bags. The discount brand is inferior to these, but they work better and work at half the price of the name brand.
