We were pleased with the way the cart was packaged and the ease of assembly. This product was originally purchased to move drywall, but I've found it very useful for moving other heavy building materials as well. These include several hundred pounds of lumber and flooring planks. The drywall cart is propelled by two fixed casters (wheels) and a pair of adjustable casters - so it steers in exactly the same way as any other drywall cart - The reason for this is the size of drywall rolls, which are 10 foot long, are not too problematic when navigating I suppose the fixed casters could be exchanged for another set of swivel casters if we were pressed for time. In the end, I am quite satisfied with my purchase as it.
The pieces arrived in excellent condition and the cart was easy to assemble. While it was fairly easy for me to assemble it myself, it could have been easier with two people. Keep an eye on the wheels. 2 turn & 3 turn Two of the rows are straight, ensuring that they will be easily maneuvered. Besides storing a 6' folding picnic table, a 6' folding table, and other items, I also store other things in it In the area where the wall is going to be drywall, there is a 3' folding table- Keeping them in place, the lip in the base allows you to load them on a slant. An umbrella 12' in length goes in the V of the handlebars as well. Using this cart is a great way to store and transport items Bringing the items into the classroom and moving them around Get the garage out of the way.
There is a lot of maneuverability in the cart. This machine has the ability to load various sized pieces easily. Generally speaking, nuts and bolts are used for attaching casters that are very heavy duty. While attaching the casters, a fairly narrow space must be fit between the hand and the bracket. As a result, several swear words were uttered during assembly. Although it was a challenging project, the outcome was splendid.
As someone who purchases several of these carts over the years for moving plywood and glass, I think this one is NOT the best. If the item you want to move is fairly heavy, it should work, but I would recommend spending an additional $30 or $40 for a better cart. I found the joints to be a bit rickety and the pieces didn't fit together well. The pieces were not aligned, and putting them together was difficult. It took a lot of effort.
The unit I used to hold eight sheets of 4x8 drywall, eight sheets of 4x8 siding, and two sheets of treated plywood has accumulated over a period of Occasionally, I move it from one spot to another to prevent flat spots on solid rubber tires. I find that it works great for what it is intended A perfect price point for the product!.
A few minutes were all it took to assemble this product. For plywood and lumber storage, we use it in the workshop in the basement. Lumber gets in the way no matter where you store it. By rolling it over here for now, and then rolling it over there later, we can move the project forward. I'm very happy with how it turned out.
It would be perfect if the wheels could be locked.
