Is it okay to put these in a dishwasher on the top rack? It has been my experience that disposable ware survives the dishwasher, but I am not sure what type of plastic works best ?

What I do is throw them away because I don't want to bother with them. In my daughter's case, I believe she puts them in the dishwasher, but she turns off the heat dryer.

Forks of this weight could be considered heavyweight, but I question its description. I would not label them heavyweight. I would say they're okay, but not heavy. Those are the ones we use at work. We bought a different brand that I would Sturdier by a significant margin. However, if you don't need a really sturdy pair of forks, these would do.

That's a pretty good job. Using them to mix dog food is a great idea. As a precaution, we have since converted to using spoons in case the fork spine While this did not occur, it was just something to be aware of. It's been quite a while since they were last used.
