This plate is made from 100% compostable, biodegradable materials. Earths Natural Alternative plates are made from compostable materials, and comply with ASTM D6400 and Eco-friendly, heavy-duty compostable bamboo plates are made with bamboo fiber and sugarcane fiber (bagasse). Made with fast-growing, renewable and sustainable plant fiber, Earth Natural plates are great for meals and picnics.

This eco-friendly paper plate is microwaveable, thick, and strong, with no plastic or wax lining, unbleached, dye-free, gluten-free, plastic-free, phthalate free, oil-resistant, cut-resistant and odor-proof. Even though you essentially need two to hold up any "heavy" food, they're a good price for how many you get and you don't feel as bad about using them at your next big party. It will be used at our wedding in spring of next year.

Wow! My jaw dropped when I saw that! It is thick, they are durable, and they look nice. I have used them for steak dinners, salad dinners, and taco parties, and they worked perfectly every time - no slipping or breaking! It will be the same size as a large dinner plate, and the sides will be high enough so that nothing will spill onto the ground.

While it's nice to be earthier, if I have to use a 4-letter word it defeats the purpose With it as a placemat, I can use five plates at the same time to prevent my food from passing through or my jeans from getting stained. My kids have also bought the bowls, but I am afraid of them using them due to the same reason.

I ordered 500 and only received 110. I ordered 500 and it arrived in a little box weighing 6 pounds. A very disappointing experience. A credit was granted for the returned item. It was a good decision to open them before they were required.

To an extent, it's still sturdy

In fact, these plates are sturdy for a point, but overfill them and you might find yourself wearing your meal on your lap or waist. I believe everyone can do that as long as their eyes are not bigger than their stomachs. There are many uses for these such as pizza and breakfast. Outdoors as well as indoors. So even if they get wet, they won't break. These plates are better than the ones we get at the local Walmart.
