Is the airtightness of the seal ensured?

No, it's ideal for Jell-O. Shots of ozone and samples of lip scrub it's not completely sealed

Is the lid flat enough for a round label to be placed on top of it? If so, do you think a 2" round label or something smaller would work?

The top portion of the lid is nearly flat. As you can see in the video, it has a couple of symbols that are slightly raised. A label of 2" would be excessively large. A 1- It would be fine to use a 3/4" label.

What is the standard of excellence?

This item has held beads, paint, and other craft supplies for me. It's well-made, has a secure lid, and does not leak.
