I think it is just craft paper. It does not have a slick surface on one side.

We have a CAG that praises the ease of using a piece of paper on each layer rather than multiple pieces that she would grab with her beak and toss. There is a 36in tabletop paper cutter that works perfectly for us, although we had to add a more sturdy dowel to support the weight. Will definitely use this paper in the years to come for Francie!.

This isn't thick at all

In disregarding the other reviews, I assumed that this roll would be thick enough since the weight was the same as the last roll I purchased (which I was extremely pleased with). Not at all. It cannot be used to wrap gifts or cover tables because it is too thin and fragile. Since it is quite thin, I am actually not sure what else you might use this for besides packing material. The item has been returned.

This is almost paper thinner than the Kraft paper I had previously purchased. The thickness of the ring is maybe only 1/4 of the ring's diameter. It is for pattern tracing purposes that I purchased it. It may even be possible for me to just trace on it without the use of carbon paper if it were white. As a result, I was unhappy to begin with, so I had a desire Although, after using it as pattern paper, I found out that it might be better to use it as pattern paper if the thickness were slightly thinner. The roll prevents curling, and it remains flat thanks to the thicker roll. No matter how many days I pressed my thick kraft paper, it still curled insanely. As a result, this is a big plus. Plus, I don't need to have that much thickness and it's much more affordable. This is why I rated it 5 out of 5. Having the right expectation is all you need to do. Paper this thin is hard to handle. The paper is about the same weight if not less dense than traditional Writing on it is as easy as writing on any other.

My purpose in purchasing this was to wrap briskets while they cook on my pellet grill rather than butcher paper. Use this at your own risk! You will have difficulty removing the meat from the paper because it sticks to the paper. As a result, all the bark at the bottom of the meat was lost. As long as it is not used for butchering, it is suitable for crafts.
