They are stunning in terms of the actual units. I love the way they look, the size, and the fact that they keep things cool - They're first-rate. br>br>However, the shelves will not stay put, so if you lift something off them, like a tray of cookies or a flat of eggs, the shelf will pop out and fall with it, injuring a knee, shin, or ankle along the way, as well as damaging itself as it crashes to the floor, which means I now have to go wash and sanitize it. It happens on a regular basis. It irritates me that I can't easily remove cookies, cakes, or eggs from the fridge without using four hands, getting a headache, or injuring myself. br>br>If you were using this as a customer display, I'd be wary of a customer accident, depending on what they were removing. One Coke is fine, but if the shelf becomes empty or something larger is removed, you'll run into problems. br>br>The other issue was one of two concerns I had about delivery - either the freight company would damage them or they would arrive dead on arrival (DOA). Then there was the second: My first unit was already dead when I got it. It was hell for me because I needed the extra cooler space for a wedding I was planning, and having to wait two weeks for a replacement made my life even more difficult. They sent out a service person who walked into the room, didn't touch the unit, didn't get closer than three feet away from it, and declared it unfixable. He was a complete moron, but he has nothing to do with their business - It was only a serviceman who was dispatched. It took a while for the seller to 'get that report,' which was not their fault, but I do believe they expedited things as much as humanly possible, and they were nice to me, and they understood the pickle I was in, which I really appreciated, but a dead on arrival product is a pain, and I've seen others describe it in the reviews as well. I'm a little nervous about the new one after this experience - is it OK? Is it going to work for me in the future? Will I run into any issues later on? I'm not sure, but I'm hoping not because I adore these, and I'm sure you will as well, as long as it arrives undamaged and functional. br>br> As for the shelf issue, no one will be pleased. The shelves will need to be retrofitted in order to stay in place. It would be fantastic if the company could develop some rubber grommets or something to prevent the shelves from flying out and causing a Nancy Kerrigan knee injury every time you took something out of the fridge.
This afternoon, the refrigerator arrived. When I first opened the fridge, I noticed that the entire top panel and the top of one of the side panels had been smashed in. Assuming the fridge was dropped or smashed while switching between multiple shippers. According to the shipping carrier that delivered the package, whenever Road Runner is in charge of shipping, they receive a lot of complaints about damaged goods. br>br>After plugging it in, the machine appears to be in good working order. When you pay $800 for a refrigerator, however, you don't expect it to arrive damaged. I wouldn't buy from them again unless they used a different shipper.
The glass door is particularly appealing to me. It's great for parties because everyone can see what you've got. Mine came with a dent in the side that doesn't seem to affect operation, but it does look bad. My only real gripes are that it's extremely loud and that the sign's lighting is extremely dim. It's only lit from within the fridge, as far as I can tell. Even though we are outside in our pool house, it keeps things very cold. It's set to 5 degrees, and it's currently 34 degrees outside.
It's big enough to hold a lot of stuff but not so big that it takes up too much space.
It also didn't get cold, according to what I read. Well, I got mine ahead of schedule, with no dents and in perfect working order, and it gets quite cold! 😊.
The cooler arrived a week ahead of schedule, undamaged. It was simple to install and maintain, and it looks great. It's also very easy to adjust and keeps drinks cold for a long time. Because of the noise level, we were unable to install it where we had planned (our music/tv room), but we did have another equally suitable location. This unit runs at 60 mph when the compressor is turned on. When sat on a thick carpet, the noise level is 65 decibels. We're happy with it in general. We've only had it for two weeks, so I can't comment on its durability.
It appears to be lovely! The Glass Door is one of my favorites. It has a lovely design. Customer service is excellent.
I sent the pictures, and Amazon sent me a notification about an hour later, saying that a discount was being processed. . . They were so quick, and the discount was more than I expected! Customer service was a ten on a scale of one to ten for this business. The light stays on all the time, as the negative reviews claim, but if you open the top door, you'll find an on/off switch, so you can keep it off or on all the time. . . and there's a little condensation on the inside back panel, but nothing a paper towel can't fix! This fridge gets extremely cold, and it does so quickly! It's extremely quiet, and the capacity exceeds my expectations! This fridge locks, which is a nice feature; the only thing I didn't notice was that the handle is only for right-handed people and cannot be switched! As a result, I needed to make some changes to my custom-built nook! I'll try to upload photos once the installation is complete!.
