A keyhole blade that fits the inside diameter will be used to drill out the center. If you're in a hurry, a utility knife might suffice.

This is an excellent container for storing liquids. This item was previously purchased by me and I was very satisfied with it. The container I ordered this time, on the other hand, leaked at the lid. The replacement was sent by Amazon, but it had the same problem. The container's mouth did not line up with the lid, which I noticed. It appears that a flaw in the mouth of this batch of containers occurred during production. I didn't want to return the replacement container because I needed it for liquid storage. I was able to stop the leakage by shaving off the container's mouth (which took some time).
I assumed the other leak reports were due to a small number of flaws or human error. Nope. Mine has a leak at the cap seal as well as the faucet itself. It'll hold liquid in an upright position just fine. A $5 bucket, on the other hand, does.
It's difficult to say much about such a basic item, but it appears to be well-made. In addition to the tap fitting for storage (10c! ), I'd like it to come with a closed off cap. It says "with cap," but the cap is the one that goes on top of the tap, which I can get separately.
OMG, I love this container. I've been looking for a compact, kind of sheer, 5 gallon horizontal container with a spigot where I can see when the detergent level is low for weeks. It was simple to store on a shelf just above the washer because of the handle. I'm excited to receive the remaining three. Dishwashing liquid, soap, and detergent are no longer available in small bottles. I really like how easy it is to dispense from this container. It leaks now, but nothing that a little plumber's tape couldn't fix.
This item is made in Canada. I dislike it when sellers lie about the origin of their products; this one is labeled as being made in the United States, but the bottom is clearly stamped "Made in Canada. " It appears to be well-made, and we'll see if it leaks with use, but some of us go out of our way to support the United States. They don't like it when they're duped, and they don't like it when they're lied to.
Leaks around threads can be difficult to stop. I bought another cap, which leaked as well. The spout threads leaked as well. To keep the spout from leaking, PVC tape was used. At least, that's the case so far. The main cap could probably be tightened with a pipe wrench.
The vented facet on the 5 gallon jug is similar to that on my old one (which lasted for years). It's simple to turn on and off, and it closes securely. Overall, it was a wise decision.
This was a quick turnaround. We had hoped for something like this. We're going to fill it with bleach so we can re-use it. Fill bottles instead of making individual ones for work because it's a pain.
