Just like the shaker I had to replace after it fell and broke on top of the glass sugar canister, scattering pepper all over several pounds of sugar. This time, I swear, I'll be more careful!br>br>Shakers arrived on time and in good condition. I would recommend these to anyone looking for a set of Fiesta salt and pepper shakers. salt and pepper shakers.
The only drawback is that there is no indication of which is salt and which is pepper. I solved the problem by ordering a new set in a different color and filling one with salt and the other with pepper. This also means I have a backup set in case the first one fails. One thing to keep in mind is that the bottom stoppers on these are incredibly tight. My big strapping son and I couldn't get them out with our fingers, so I had to use tweezers to get them out. This, on the other hand, is not a bad thing. At the very least, I'm confident that the stoppers will not be moved.
These salt and pepper shakers have a beautiful color. They were purchased to go in my newly renovated kitchen. They are both expensive and not very long-lasting, in my opinion. My husband tipped one over a few days ago, and because of the ball shape, it rolled off the table and shattered into a million pieces on the tile floor.
They're stunning, and they go perfectly with my lemongrass, scarlet, and black collection (which, by the way, looks fantastic when mixed). After reading numerous complaints about Fiesta stoppers falling out on the internet, I was pleasantly surprised to find that these things were so well-secured that I believe they could withstand a 20-pound weight and still stay put! It's difficult to imagine salt or pepper weighing them down when you have to pry them out like that. I believe that some people may have received a faulty batch of stoppers, as removing them requires some muscle. I'm extremely pleased and impressed.
I like how small they are on the table because they are unobtrusive. br>br>The refill holes are on the bottom and are covered by small plastic plugs that fit snugly and must be removed with care to avoid tearing them. br>br>The only difference between the two shakers is that one has six holes at the top and the other has seven. I was told that the one with the more holes is for salt, so I use it that way, but I believe there are those who disagree. The hole is the same size, large enough to hold ordinary salt and pepper from the supermarket. If you're grinding it yourself, make sure it's fine enough to avoid clogging.
It only took a few days for the package to arrive. Thank you for looking great and doing a great job! They're a hit with my mom. (They were supposed to be a replacement for a fiesta wear pepper shaker that I dropped and broke. ) She is a huge fan of fiesta attire. She only speaks in this manner. They've lasted for years and continue to function well, and they've made excellent gifts for many years. Her first sets were purchased in the mid-to-late 1990s and were used by a family of five. They're still with him, he's still using them, and they're all in great shape!.
These are absolutely stunning. Rubber plugs should be secured in the bottom. 6 salt and pepper holes in one, 5 salt and pepper holes in the other.
Can you tell I'm a big fan of Fiesta from all of my reviews? I do. It's bright and cheery, and it'll stand up to the odd OMG I dropped it! I did, in fact, drop the salt and pepper shaker. It began to roll. These are on my red and white flecked 1950's table in my red and yellow dining room, inspired by the red table and the yellow chrome based chairs from the same era. They were a perfect fit!.
