Questions & Answers
They are not as thick as mittens, but they are sufficiently thick to prevent you from burning through them. This is prevented by the silver side.
A variety of colors are used in the description. The color of the blue I purchased is very similar to the one described.
Everything I've bought from DLL has been manufactured in India! Thank you, God! Also. Everything is of the highest standard!
They are compatible with the majority of other pans. We put them on all of our pots and pans.

The product is 100% cotton according to the tag but the trim melts and sticks when in contact with hot surfaces (the rest of the potholder is fine). Other customers have also noticed and photographed the same problem. I emailed DII, expressing my dissatisfaction with their material tag and the dangers of using what is most likely a synthetic material on something that is meant to touch hot surfaces. DII's never responded to my message directly, instead having their LAWYER contact me. That seemed to me to be an attempt at intimidation, which was odd.
This product claims to be 100% cotton but it is clearly NOT cotton. Although the terry cloth and fill are made of cotton, the border is made of nylon or a similar synthetic material. It melted all around the edges when it came into contact with dishes at normal oven temperatures (325 F, for example, which isn't particularly high). Despite the fact that multiple customers have reported the same problem, this company has managed to keep their four-star rating by manipulating reviews. The average rating is 5 stars. The highest rating (one star) is correct. WILL MELT! WILL MELT! WILL.
The silver lining burns and melts around the rims! I could understand them melting if they came into contact with a flame, but they're melting simply by holding the handle. This is a product that I do not recommend.
I was completely let down. The same company's towels had shrunk to nothingness as well. It wasn't like I was wearing them all the time. Before and after a single wash are shown in the photo! Horrible!.
Because I needed a small potholder, I went looking for one. OK. They were inexpensive, but they should not melt. When the black material side melted, I thought to myself, "Well, just let the grey heat contact side touch," but it melted as well. I'm not welding planes here; instead, I'm baking cookies. The grey side's black edge trim, the grey contact side, and the black material side are all easily melted/burned. I needed a small potholder because my hands are small and I don't like the bulky rubber products. I was looking for the small thick material potholders from the past that always lasted a long time, but these aren't them.
When compressed, they are about 1/4" thick or less. Several times, I've burned my fingers. You might be able to get away with these if you bake with lightweight aluminum pans and use heat-resistant pots and pans. In the oven and on the stovetop, I bake bread in Pyrex pans and cook with cast iron skillets. As the heat quickly passed through these thin pot holders, I nearly dropped the cast iron skillet before I could get it out of the oven. That silver cloth does very little to prevent heat transfer, if anything at all. I've used thick pot holders that didn't have any silver cloth and did a far better job.
3,145 is the result of mine. Why should you write a review when there are already so many? I'm not sure, but I recently looked for plain old pot holders and couldn't find any blue ones, or if there were, they were silicone. When they arrived, along with towels and a drying mat, I was actually quite pleased. Silly? Possibly. I'd recently sold my two-story condo on a golf course and most of my belongings to live in a tiny room with no amenities. It had been a memorable adventure. I discovered that I did not require even half of what I had saved. I've downsized to a one-bedroom apartment and am starting from scratch - simpler. Now that I'm able to cook, these will be the only potholders I ever own.
However, I've been looking for pot holders similar to these for a long time. I used to have one of these, and it lasted about 5 years. It was beginning to show signs of wear, so I went on the hunt for a replacement. I was able to locate these on Amazon for the first time. Amazon, you've saved the day yet again. I'm really pleased with these. Lightweight, yet tough, insulating, and adaptable. These aren't the kind of potholders that are big and thick. These are perfect for what I need because they are light, slim, and have a lot of give. I can reach for a scalding pan handle or a cookie sheet that has been in the oven for an hour. Whatever the case may be, these are ideal for the job. br>br>I despise bulky potholders because dexterity is always a problem. I reach for something and either don't have it fully grasped or go to set something down only to find the pot holder underneath it. When I try to remove the pot holder, it becomes stuck beneath the HOT item I've just placed on the table. That is something I am not fond of. In any case, none of this occurs with THESE pot holders. It's for this reason that I adore them. br>br>Happiness, happiness, happiness, happiness, happiness, happiness, happiness, happiness, happiness, happiness, happiness,.
