In the image, it appears as if they are VERY flat, but there actually isn't a single flat Tunneling occurs when it is almost impossible to keep a pillar or jar candle upright. It would probably cost me more in the long run if I sent them back. In addition, there does not appear to be a different product that I could be sure is flat for more than 3 Though it was shipped by Amazon Prime, it was sold by Gray Bunny, so I would be unable to recoup much of my purchase price.
There is a nice finish to the black, and on the tops of the several I purchased, they look fabulous. It is almost unnoticeable unless it is flipped upside down, but the majority had a small mark on one of the bottom, bulb feet. A slight curve in each plate helps to ensure any wax that spills catches on it. When used with large candle jars, the clamps work great. Despite the center portion of the jars being flat, there is still enough room all around the jar in case of a spill.
The candle holder is exactly what I needed to set my candles on since I have wood furniture and I don't want it damaged. Additionally, they look good and are suitable for both small and large candle holders. It is great to have a candle that I can get my hands on! I am just getting into candles so this is great.

They do the job well for the money they cost. There have been a couple times when I had difficulty with it being bowl-shaped instead of flat. You have to carefully center the candle to ensure it melts straight down. If it isn't, the wick will fall into the wax and ruin the candle. Put it on their level, but make sure you place it so that it reaches them.

Having one of these for a large candle is great. I bought four of them when I expected large candles, but they turned out to be just small! In spite of these four being beautiful and sturdy, I still plan on getting larger candles for them in the future. For four of them, the price is great, so there's no reason not to get them.
