Sorry. I don't know where they were made because the box was thrown away. But I must say, they're fantastic. Both practical and enjoyable.
I can't say at what temperature the holders might melt because I don't put them in an oven, but I can put hot taco shells in them without the plastic distorting. I hope this information is useful.
I'm not sure why you'd want to put these in the microwave, but to answer your question, I just tried it and it worked fine for 1 1/2 minutes before the micro started to spark, so the answer is NO, I wouldn't put these in the microwave. It didn't ruin the stand, and it was only slightly warm to the touch when I removed it, but I wouldn't put these in the microwave. These are meant to hold your taco shell in place while you fill it. They're not meant to be used to reheat taco shells.
They're great with soft corn tortillas, but I think they'd be too big with large flour tortillas. Corn tortillas or soft taco size tortillas are excellent choices.

When I pick up one taco, the weight of the remaining taco causes the holder to tip over, allowing the filling to spill out.
Holding it in your hand is no longer an option because putting it down will result in the loss of all your fillings. You can eat a bite of your taco and then put it down without having to re-heat it. It holds two tacos when upright, but only one when turned upside down. This is a wonderful small item.
I can now pick up and place my taco to drink my beverage, get more sour cream, or do whatever I want. They can either be hand-washed or put in the dishwasher. They're amazing, and I'm not sure how I ever managed without them.
These little taco holders are fantastic; they do exactly what you'd expect and, more importantly, they keep the tacos secure on the plate, leaving plenty of room for other dishes. To think, these have been around for years and I was completely unaware of their existence!.

On one side, it can hold two tacos, while on the other, it can only hold one. They are simple to clean. To save space, stack the items. Excellent value for money. Everything was in excellent working order when it arrived.

I'd rush home, make some tasty tacos, only to be frustrated as I tried to smother them in various toppings because they kept falling apart. It was a painful experience. These bad boys, on the other hand, keep my tacos from falling over - ready for lettuce, tomato, cheese, sour cream, and salsa to be added. It's the best investment I've made in quite some time.
