A gift I got for my mother who likes to have hot water all the time. In order to avoid using the microwave or a coffee warmer, she doesn't like to use them. A petite container large enough to fit on her C table and to keep the water hot for between 4 and 6 hours. When the container was empty, it had cooled to a comfortable temperature. In the same way you would pour from a regular coffee pot, your thumb would have been located on the lever to open the spout. It is not necessary to take any further When my mother pours the water, I make sure the gasket opening is slightly open so I do not have to worry about her getting burned. This one is adjustable, and I like that it's flexible. My energy bill has decreased because I don't have to heat her water every time she wants to drink it. You can fill, clean and close it easily. Considering buying a larger capacity if you will be using it for more than one individual or family, but it's a great product, I recommend.
