In addition to plastic, it works on metal. Replacing this item requires a new one. It should be pretty easy to seal up the silicon seals. The piece is of really high quality as well.
As described in This spigot fits openings up to 5/8 of an inch or 16 mm in diameter and fits dispensers up to 11/16 inch or 17 mm in thickness.
The detergent barely leaks when I use it, and the trickle is barely noticeable! The answer to this one is a definite no. Now we have to start all over again!

Stainless steel is used exclusively for the construction of this spigot, no silver-painted plastic or silver plating will ever be used. For spouts to stay in place without leaking, the silicon washers are thick and sturdy. Compared to the original spout, which was made entirely from plated/painted plastic, I am deeply impressed with the material quality and weight of this replacement. My first thought was that this purchase was way too cheap, considering that most stainless steel spouts I checked out before purchasing were not even close to half the price. I am extremely happy with this purchase and cannot imagine how it could function or look any better.
It's great for home brewing, and it's great for the price. I use it for kombucha. You need to wash it really, really well, you need to soak it and you need to use it Lots and lots of water should be run After I cleaned it enough, I thought it was all clean We ruined a lot of kombucha because it took on a strong metallic taste. As a side note, we bought another anyway and are now enjoying that You can further remove any metallic taste by soaking it in vinegar after cleaning.
I upgraded my kombucha crock, which was much needed. What are you going to supply well-cut threads, solid stainless valve at a great price. I found other valves that advertise beefed-up components, but simply do not see the need for them. Strong enough to handle most situations.
It cost about $5-$9 Spigots made of stainless steel are $10 less expensive than comparable I got a sun tea jar cheap at a thrift store and I'd like to make kombucha in it. Due to the plastic spigot and my lack of confidence in the cleanliness of it, I replaced The product is of very high quality. Exactly what I would have expected to receive if I had purchased one of the more expensive My hand fit easily inside the jar to tighten the nut, so I didn't need any tools to install it. It is simple and practical with no extra decorative features that some of the $12+ models have. In spite of leaving the jar filled with water for a few hours, I did not experience any In my experience, when it drips after dispensing, there is no more drip afterward, so I simply hold the glass under the spigot for an extra second to catch it and have no messy spills.
I fit it well and I don't have any leaks around the spigot, but I do leak when I move the lever over the spigot where the water is supposed to flow out. It only leaks if I close the lever completely. After an hour, there is a little pool of water below due to it not being closed all the way.
I cleaned it, but the material doesn't even look like At the end of the day, it is a cheap spigot. It's not a good idea.
This is a solid, well engineered part that is a great replacement for the original cheap plastic valves that come with most casks. Dispensers that can fill bottles of water. We are pleased with the design of the silicone washers and washer shields supplied with the kits. Leakage around the valve was not an issue at all. It was enough to hand-tighten the washer with the nice soft silicone to get a leak - You can get the seal for free.
A couple of reviewers noted a problem that I didn't have, and I don't understand. There sounded as though it took quite a bit of force to turn the handle, two hands and a long time (you need one to hold the valve and you need the other to turn the handle), perhaps because the force to turn it would cause whatever it was attached to to spin. My interpretation of the complaint, at least, was that. Maybe I misunderstood However, I had absolutely no trouble with anything like that Light finger pressure is needed to turn the handle in both directions, making it smooth and not sticky. The product is also said to drip by some reviewers. As far as I'm concerned, I kind of agree Turning the handle off causes it to drip once, one big drop right away, as the fluid that was left inside the port (past the valve) bursts forth. All you have to do then is hold the glass there another 1 second and you will be able to see it. It will take you less than 2 seconds to catch the ball. I was bothered by a few minor issues, but not enough to knock me off my game You can rate it here. There was a complaint about the color of the washer shields from one reviewer The sky is a bright I understand, but that's just a protective plastic layer. It can be easily peeled There is a silvery underside. It is a nice, well-built part, both functional and attractive at the same time.
They will replace a couple of spigots on various beverage servers that I have. Instead of using the gaskets that came with the bottle, I used the ones that came with it, and the bottle seized. As soon as I changed the gaskets to the ones provided, there were On a scale of 1 to 5, I give it There is a glass 5 gallon jug and a glass 2 gallon jug. A 5 gallon glass jug which I use for making As of now, it appears to be going well. It was a pleasure to purchase these and I will be buying.
