The base is not necessary if you want to use it. No matter how or whether the base is present, it remains very stable. I like it better with the base because it looks better with ice in the base as well.

A few days from now, I will be getting married and I ordered two acrylic dispensers. As a result of the price and material, I did not have very high expectations. I was so happy with them, and I am so happy with how they turned out! They look just as good as glass and I find them very appealing. Within five minutes, I assembled both of them and gave them a good soak in The big day is on its way, so it doesn't leak.
There is no doubt that this is a perfectly functional item, however, it is not at all like the photo, which appears to have some stylish contours. There is even a statement that it is "sculpted. ". I received a big clear waste basket that looked like a large trash can There is no "sculptured", nothing at all. Moreover, it has a small hole drilled into the lid that I did not appreciate. It looks as if it was done intentionally. I have a second CreativeWare beverage dispenser that dispenses filtered drinking water on the counter in my kitchen, and it seems to work just fine. I am therefore not dissatisfied with the product's.
Just one thing for anyone who buys them Do not take the foil off. Use a soft sponge to wash them, not a scrubby one! side of the sponge with a scrubby texture and I got scratches As soon as I saw it, I realized it was only on the bottom part, so I washed it with the soft side of the sponge.
I think the package should be improved. It was a huge disappointment.
Dispenser with an attractive design. Just what I was looking for for As far as chunks of fruit getting stuck in the nozzle, I would agree with some of the other reviews, but I think that can be resolved by cutting the fruit into bigger chunks. Fruit chunks or cubes WILL clog the dispenser if the dispenser is filled with small items. You can cut up cucumbers or lemons or whatever you want to, just as long as they are large enough to fit through the hole to which the liquid will flow. I find it a little odd that there is an ice chamber at the bottom. The ice was at the bottom of only one of my dispensers after I filled both with ice. If you want to add ice to the bottom, I think that's up to you. In general, the device was easy to clean, to set up, and to take apart and to put back together. I was able to disassemble and clean the nozzle in entirety, including storing It was found that the dispensers came in without any defect or leaking problems and were in excellent condition. In my opinion, this is a five-star product.
Although I love the beverage dispenser, the only drawback I could find is that when I put fruit in water, I noticed it ate away at the finish of the water line. It appears to have been discolored by the acid. The lemonade I made for the wedding had strawberries and lemons in it. You just need to be aware of it. I like it, but there are a few issues.
Since there were a number of reviews claiming that there was a leaking spigot, I was apprehensive about ordering this product. After reading the assembly instructions, I decided to take my chances. Sure enough, I was unable to observe a slow leak from the top It took me a few seconds to screw the nut in and finger-thread it I tightened the ring inside the container to comply with the instructions, as indicated in the instructions Keep the screw tight but not too tight. My effort to eliminate the drip included loosening up the washers, repositioning them, and reversing them, but there was still a leak. Then my husband stepped in to crank down the nut with a wrench just as I was about to grab the silicone. I had a leak, but presto! Though I hesitated to use it since it's plastic, we left the container of water over night, and when we woke up in the morning, it was fully dry. The bottom line is You can tighten the nut to the maximum you can without paying attention to the instructions! It remains to be seen if the citric acid issues can be resolved.
The product could not be used because it was broken. When the product was placed in the box for mailing, it was obvious that it was defective. The seller refunded the money. There was no way it could have been damaged in transit since it was well padded.
