The color does not match the other pieces
3/5

THE UPDATE IS As a replacement for my 0ff- style Spode dinnerware, I bought this directly from Portmeirion (the maker of Spode). This is the one I got from Amazon in color. Buying my replacement directly from Portmeirion was an excellent choice because the color of the body exactly matched the rest of the service (not the case with the one I purchased I am reviewing the original version of the book. (February 27, 2020) I received this today. It looks like a real piece of Portmeirion and Spode china and is marked Made in England, but it is a copy. Despite what others say, the color of the whole body clearly does not complement This piece matches the other tea set pieces in color, being a cream with a hint of yellow and pink. While those pieces are clearly white, and the same pattern pieces from China are gray-ish, this piece is a cream color with a hint of yellow and pink. This set seemed a little off inside, but was sure it would look lovely in the garden (the blue looks best against the green of the lawns and the As a result, I had paid for this and am now not able to use it, so I will either replace it directly with Spode or I will buy it used so that I know I am getting first-class After Portmeirion bought Spode, they moved their manufacturing back to the UK and began producing products there again in the UK. This is an original product I believe to be old stock. Made in England is written on my one, but it does not correspond. It will be the last time I'll be getting Spode on Amazon. It seems that the prices are too low for these to be first quality, and while the tea pot appears to be in good shape (there are no obvious flaws yet), both saucers and cups had bumps in the clay where it Despite the claim made on the product pages for some of the items in this pattern stating that they are of first quality, I do not believe any of this is available on Amazon. Just so you know, even if a page says these are from Spode, once you pay you will then see that they may be from An Avalanche Brands piece comes from this particular collection. *In fairness, I would like to point out that Avalanche Brands was also the seller for the tea pot that arrived yesterday, and that was just fine. The two pieces simply don't match, and the creamer simply does not match any of the other boxes I have received. My opinion is that I would not purchase this through Amazon, or I would not order knowing I would have to return it. You should compare the color of the body of each piece after you receive it in the sunlight. While the Spode and transferware I use are not fine china, like Herend, Bernardaud, Raynaud, and others, I do appreciate their quality. Even if made decades apart, I know vintage pieces of fine china will match even if they were made decades apart. It's simply not the case with these. And while the pieces that I have received that were made in China were a bit more gray than pure white (and therefore a bit more elegant looking), this is the first piece I have received that is obviously a cream color not matching any of the others. Please take a look at the photos. The order and delivery of all of these items (the tea pot, cup/saucer, and now the creamer) occurred within a 24-hour period. You can see in the pictures that the white of the body is a little creamier in the creamer, but in person, especially in the sunlight, the difference is even more noticeable. It is best to be careful when you buy.

It is stamped Made in England and has a light and airy feel
5/5

A perfectly shaped Spode creamer, in the "Blue Italian" pattern arrived quickly and safely, as always. Each spoon comes in a Spode collector box with a 'Made in England' stamp at the bottom as well as instructions for dishwasher and microwave use. Several years ago, I purchased 'Blue Italian' Spode teacups and saucers from Amazon in a design stamped 'Made in England. ' This creamer matches the blue parts of the teacups and saucers perfectly. It is not surprising that this new creamer has held up well to the microwave and dishwasher treatment as my other 'Blue Italian' Spode teacups and saucers have. Its delicate weight resembles porcelain or fine bone china, as though it was made of stoneware. This teacup and saucer set is elegant and delicate looking, yet I trust it to be just as strong as the last few decades worth of teacups and saucers. Although I have high hopes based on my past experience using Spode 'Blue Italian' cups and saucers, only time will tell. My favorite teacup among my many treasured teacups is the 'Blue Italian' Spode among many other style favorites. I drink herbal tea and hot chocolate in pretty quality cups throughout many a day, but the Spode is easily my top favorite style among many others. It is possible that it is not My tea brewing habits are generally 'tea for one' style, i. e. I make my tea in a mug and brew one cup at a time with my companion creamer. I intend to use this creamer for that purpose when this creamer is not being used for other purposes, like a creamer or dispenser of another sauce or syrup. A beautiful classic blue and white look with the delicate floral pattern homage to the traditional fine china beginning in China, the quality stamp from England, and the period sense from the Regency era, and all offer convenience while also providing an attractive eye-catcher. There is a sense of fond memories and fairy visions of simpler times and moments with hints of Jane Austen, the Bronte sisters, and other literary giants from the eighteen hundreds. My 'Blue Italian' tea cups and saucers were featured on at least one episode of Downton Abbey, if not on more period piece movies that I am sure I have seen in the past. Perhaps, only Spode knows how many of their 'Blue Italian' pieces are still manufactured in England, but this one was, and I hope that more of them will be making the same I hope that Amazon will make this information more prominent on its website for collectors like me so that we can feel confident that fine china and stoneware are safe for food, and I am looking forward to seeing more clarity on Amazon in this area. It is my intention to gradually add more 'Blue Italian' Spode pieces to my dining room and household, but as long as the *Made in England' stamp is present underneath, I am willing to accept it. A Spode creamer is something I highly recommend. The beauty of this thing is beyond compare!.

Spode is beautiful to look at and feels great to hold, but this creamer is so small that I am very unhappy. The sugar bowl and the sugar cup are being returned because they are too small!.

An amazing cream carafe with a great price
5/5

It is a great cream carafe with a great price. It is sturdy yet delicate at the same time. Whether you're having someone over for tea, or just want to use it in the kitchen in general. This also means that you won't have to fill it up very often, since it holds a decent amount of milk/cream. As far as I can tell, it is taller than most cream carafes.

The tea cups are really fine quality
5/5

They look beautiful on my kitchen counter. i love the black and white design. This is a great feature, since it is dishwasher-safe. This container is a little bigger than I expected, but it is enough to hold milk for four people to have tea.
