Questions & Answers

Is there a way to tell how much sugar it holds?

It has a capacity of about a cup (8 oz). It would have been preferable if the container had been slightly larger, say 12 oz. But, in general, I prefer it to any other dispenser I've had. Even though it's only 8 oz, I'd still recommend it.

Have you ever had a problem with sugar sticking to the pour spout and making it difficult to close it?

Yes. This is a serious issue. We are sincerely sorry for purchasing it. The spout has a tendency to close on its own. The sugar clumps together. Steam from hot beverages is to blame. SETTING THE STAGE: Pouring straight into the cup is not a good idea. Pour into a spoon as far away from the steam as possible.

Is it possible to use this for powdered creamers? Is it possible that it will become clogged?

There are two options for the spout: open, open, open If the powder is drier, the creamer should work. If not, I suppose a rinse every now and then would suffice.

Is the creamer dispenser able to withstand spills?

I dropped it on my counter and luckily it didn't spill, but luck played a role. The top of the lid pivots open, and it may open if you drop it on its side.

It's fantastic! I enjoyed it so much that I purchased a second one for Cinnamon Sugar! There will be no mess, and it will be simple to clean

Neither Good nor Grip is a word that comes to mind when describing this product
3/5

I've been a fan of Oxo products in the past, but this one is a dud. The silicone seal, which is supposed to keep the package fresh, does not work. I applied firmer pressure after gently closing it and watching it open on its own. That, too, did not work. There is a complete 1/2" opening after about an hour. It doesn't exactly scream "fresh"! Then there's the problem with the 'grip' part of Good Grips. The container is made of smooth glass. When you take it out of the fridge, the condensation quickly turns it into a slick hazard - be careful! To avoid dropping it, you should place a couple of fingers underneath it. br>br>This was returned because the cream comes in a paper carton, which is better than this design flaw.

Dispensers are fantastic
5/5

I'm a huge fan of these dispensers! I have them at work and at home, and people constantly ask me where I got them; I've read some of the reviews, and people have complained that they'stop working. ' I have to laugh because powdered cream or sugar will clog up due to the steam from your coffee. I simply pour into a spoon and place it over my coffee cup, which solves the dreaded'steam clogging' problem, lol. The container's opening is generously sized, making it simple to fill. Spray some Pam or oil onto a paper towel and lightly rub around the threads of the container if the lid is a little sticky to screw back on, which can happen when sugar gets caught in the grooves. The issue has been resolved.

For a variety of reasons, I like this dispenser; however, I wish the lid closed completely
4/5

This is a review of the creamer dispenser made of glass. Advantages: br>br> br>Perfect size; holds a few days' worth of cream but is small enough to save space over bringing out the entire carton of half-and-half. halfbr>Easy to hold and pour, easy to open and close with one handbr>Looks much nicer than a cardboard carton, to make your morning coffee experience feel just a little more "well appointed"br>Glass is nice to see the cream level, the only other comparably sized small creamers I saw are either stainless steel with a flat lid, or open mini pitchers, so you wouldn't be able to store what isn't used over a day or
Lid - As previously stated, it has a large enough capacity that you could keep it in the refrigerator for a few days before using it. Obviously, I wouldn't do that with open pitchers. br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product. Except for the fact that, as a few others have mentioned, the lid closes extremely loosely, this dispenser is nearly perfect in every way. I've only had mine for a day, but I'm surprised at how loose the lid is. When I close it, it doesn't even close all the way; it's only about 1/16" of an inch away from being flush. It's fine because it's still essentially closed with the two silicone ridges, and I'm not traveling with it or needing it to be like a snap n lock liquid and air tight container, but it's a little unsatisfying that it doesn't simply close down all the way. I didn't even have to use a zip-lock bag. As another reviewer mentioned, I tied in the edge to get it to close; hopefully, it won't loosen up any more as time passes. Re- To get that extra star rating, it would be better to tweak that lid just a smidgeon to make it close better.

THE BOTTOM HAD BROKE OFF, AND THERE WAS SUGAR EVERYWHERE! UNTIL THE BOTTOM FELL OFF! I WAS IN LOVE WITH THIS UNTIL THE BOTTOM FELL OFF! Sugar rained down from the ceiling and into every crack in my kitchen
3/5

I'm not sure I'll ever be able to clean up this mess completely. I'm still looking for sugar after a week. What makes you think Oxo would make a dispenser with a solid bottom?.

The dispenser's bottom is going to break
3/5

I gave the dispenser a good shake while making my morning coffee to loosen up the caked-on sugar bits. Suddenly, the bottom fell out, and I was covered in a cup of sugar. For kitchen products, choosing Oxo was a no-brainer. It's no longer so. This is a colossal failure for a company that prides itself on design.

I BROKEN UP! At first, I enjoyed it-- I liked the spout because it was neither too big nor too small
3/5

Then one day, when I went to pick it up, the bottom just fell off! I didn't drop it or anything, so it's a little strange. This isn't something you should buy. Clearly, there is a flaw in the production process. If I could, I'd give this a zero-star rating.

It only lasted a few days
3/5

Last Friday, I received the package. Today I threw it out in the garbage. The spout cover wouldn't stay closed after just one wash. As a result, the "two silicone seals" won't "keep cream or milk fresh. " br>br>This is the first time I've had a bad OXO product, and I've tried a lot. br>br>I bought two of them at the same time. I'm hoping that the second one will last a little longer.
