It is not 12 oz. , but more like 9 or 10 oz. if you fill it all the way up. This cup was smaller than I had expected, my boyfriend got a new coffee maker, and it's shorter than the cup he takes to work, so I wanted something he could use to prepare coffee then pour into the cup he takes to work. I don't like how small it is.
