I filled this bottle with 16 measured cups, weighed it full and empty to make sure it weighed 128 oz, and poured it into a graduated pan to make 4 quarts, and I can tell you that this bottle is filled to the letters on the neck that say one gallon. It is one gallon in fact.
No, they won't stand up to hot water. I just bought them and tried sanitizing them with just 1 cup of boiling water, and one of the jars cracked. Look for borosilicate glass that can withstand temperatures of up to 200 degrees above boiling.
I discovered that the lids from kombucha glass bottle drinks from 7-11 or the grocery store fit.

[] THE REVIEWbr>I keep my household items in these gallon jugs. distilled water was created It doesn't make sense to go to the trouble of making a home-cooked meal. I made distilled water and then stored it in plastic jugs, which can leach chemicals into the water. This is ideal for keeping the water fresh until I require it. br>br>These are very well made. The tops are completely sealed. I like how the top of the container has a molded-in glass handle that makes it easy to handle and carry. I've been using these for a long time and have had no problems. br>br>[] DISTILLED WATERbr>I drink distilled water for its purity, but it also works well as a carrier for other supplements I take. Minerals are already present in ordinary tap water and even filtered water. Because water can only dissolve a certain amount of vitamins and minerals before becoming saturated, distilled water can "hold" more of the vitamins and minerals that I like to supplement with. I take powdered Vitamin C, Calcium, and Magnesium supplements, for example. If I used regular filtered tap water to dissolve these powdered supplements, it would not dissolve as much as if I used distilled water. That's because distilled water is almost entirely made up of water, allowing the maximum amount of powdered supplements to dissolve in it. I hope you find this information useful. br>br>GIVE Testimonials - As a reviewer, I hold myself to a high standard. br>[A]uthentic - Only give an honest and trustworthy review if you want to help people. br>[In]formative - Provide product-specific information in a clear and concise manner. br>[V]aluable – Assist the reader in determining whether or not this product is right for them. br>[E]nlightening – The reader may learn something they didn't know before. ps. br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br Remember to give this review an upvote if you like it or think it will be useful to others.
After only 48 hours of cool storage, cheap glass had severely cracked! When the glass cracked and leaked in, the entire project was tragically and almost dangerously cut short. I was allowing high quality essential oils, fragrance fixatives, and perfumers alcohol to mature for what was SUPPOSED TO BE a period of 30 days. out of the teeny-tiny ice chest! Thankfully, the alcohol did not COMBUST when it came into contact with the refrigerator compressor while my family and I were sleeping! I misplaced nearly $350 in high-end materials! The only good thing about this unfortunate incident is that my basement now smells like a nuclear air freshener was dropped on it! There were no warnings or indications that this product was incompatible with the ingredients present at the time of purchase, and when I tried to contact Amazon customer service, I was told that the line was "no longer in service due to Covid-related issues. " 19”. Because of the collateral damage, a simple return/refund will not be acceptable in this case, and the fragrance product being manufactured can no longer be sold! Everyone who intends to use this product for the same or similar purposes should read this and be aware of the risks!.
I thought it was a great deal until I tried it with my room temperature product. I put a lot of effort into making my wine, only to have two of the bottles break.
The jars are fantastic; they all arrived undamaged, and I've kept some in and out of the refrigerator with no issues. However, I'm not sure what chemical is used in the caps, but it's so potent that it tainted the first batches of distilled water I used. I couldn't figure out what had happened between night and morning, but something told me to smell the caps, which smelled exactly like the water. The water has been fine since I stopped using the caps, which is disappointing because I'm in the market for new caps right now.
The jugs are a bit heavy when they're full; They will, however, most likely last a lifetime due to their durability. I've seen some complaints about the caps in other threads. I haven't had any issues thus far. This is a fantastic product that I wholeheartedly recommend!.
I'm not pleased with myself. One of the jugs was broken when it arrived. I immediately notified Amazon; The replacements arrived the following day, and the defective ones were returned the next day. I'm completely satisfied because the jugs appear to be of excellent quality. update; After a few days, they replaced the damaged box with a new one. They appeared to be in good condition, but after filling the second one, I heard a grinding noise and noticed an elongated small ship on the bottle's lip. The bottles were well-packaged for shipping, so I assume they were repackaged from a damaged case and they were unaware of it. The seller has poor quality control.
They're heavy when full, which makes using them a little difficult, but we noticed that the plastic jugs our distilled water comes in gave off a plasticy odor when used with our CPAPs. Glass far outperforms other materials in this regard. Because the opening is so small, the only way I've ever cleaned these (not that they've ever held anything other than water) is with hot, soapy dishwater. (Not the dishwasher itself, but the water from the washing machine). I haven't tried them under pressure yet.
They arrived in perfect condition, with the exception of one bottle that had a chip on the top. So now I have three bottles and one for collecting all of my change in the hopes that I will not try to steal my own money because I will most likely lose a finger if I do.
