It's more of a stamp, in my opinion. Although the lettering does not peel off like a sticker, if you run your hand over it, you can feel it. I hope that was clear. My clothes are only washed by hand for me.

The cup is attractive, but the lettering is quite small, forcing me to squint in order to read it (remember, this is a RETIREMENT cup). eyesight isn't as good as it once was)!.
