Villeroy & Boch Miss Desiree Claret, 8.25 oz, Transparent

These glasses are stunning. For the past ten years, I've owned a set of twelve. They are difficult to break. I'm a klutz, and I've dropped them on the floor numerous times over the years. They've been moved twice, and there has been very little breakage when compared to another set that is used less frequently. I've only had two breaks, both of which were caused by hitting the granite counter and not by the "bowl. " I'm blown away. The best part is that they look fantastic on the table. They are sold in singles on Amazon, making it simple to add or replace as needed.

While I am ecstatic and in love with the Villeroy and Bosch Miss Desiree Crystal wine glasses, five of the six glasses were damaged when they arrived. Four of them are crushed and one is chipped, making them unusable. Damage is believed to have occurred during processing, according to the New Zealand customs department. While it would be tedious, it might be worth it in the future to write in large letters on every side of the box, in the language of the purchaser's country and any countries the parcel may have to travel through, that the items contained are cystal, extremely delicate, and fragile; the box that contained the glasses had no such warning or information. The box is quite large and flimsy on its own. While the items were well wrapped and there was plenty of padding, a stronger and smaller, more compact box might be a better option for protecting the product. I understand how difficult it is to ship such fragile items such a long distance, so you can imagine my disappointment and frustration when my order was accepted and I received the lovely but useless glasses. If getting fragile goods to far-flung countries in good condition is too difficult, you should let customers know before accepting orders. While I am willing to pay shipping and handling costs and would be willing to pay even more for the assurance of receiving a perfect and usable product, the current shipping and handling costs have already consumed a third of the total order value, and the goods are unusable.

They're absolutely stunning! br>They're also a hit with dinner guests. br>These are something I would recommend to anyone! br>br>On any of these glasses, there is NO SEAM going down! br>I'm not sure where this first (and so far only) customer got that idea. br>br>==================== The "Desiree" design blends in with any traditional Villeroy and Boch setting.
