They aren't oiled or sealed, but they aren't lacquered. I have not experienced any leaks for over a year and I have been satisfied
In short, yes.
It adds a whole new dimension to the flavor of sake to use such cups. As a BD present, I gave them to them. There was a lot of interest in them! If you open them up, the scent will fill the air.
A friend of mine recommended Masu to me, and I liked it a lot They had fixed the problem by the time I received my batch, but my two were not usable.

As this is made in Japan, the quality is superior. However, the wood is exposed, so it cannot be covered. Fingerprints were smudged on the package, and it was enclosed On the bottom of the bag there is also a sticker that cannot be removed easily. The situation needs to be handled with more care.
This beautifully finished sake cup is made of glass and is made of Masu.
com from JapanBargain. Their construction makes them sturdy and leak-proof. This function works as expected. The aroma of wood is pleasant. It is not worth searching around locally specifically to locate these for less, but I have seen them for a little less locally.
I haven't left liquids in them for long periods, so it's hard to know if they will warp, but they are perfect for my purposes.
The product is excellent.
This is awesome!.
It took a few days for them to separate after I put them to dry.
