Questions & Answers

Is it possible to use it with hot beverages, as with other Nalgene bottles?

Yes. Hot or cold, that is the question. You will be unable to hold it if it is too hot. I also use it to keep iced tea and milk frozen.

What exactly are the measurements of the 64oz bottle?

I believe Yoda said there is no such thing as perfection, but this one measures 10 5/8" tall with the lid on x 4 1/2" x 4 1/2". The corners have been rounded for a more pleasing appearance. The opening measures 1 9/16" in width. I purchased four of these and was pleased with my purchase.

The lone reviewer claims to have received a blue glass with a logo as an additional item. Have you figured out how to fix this snafu?

I purchased a clear plastic one similar to the one shown in the photo.

Is this made of plastic or is it made of glass? —It says it's glass in the review, but I assumed it was plastic?

It's made of vinyl. Ideal for river trips, camping, and other outdoor activities.

The price of a genuine BPA-free Nalgene bottle is around $30. The ones that are less expensive are fakes. Make an informed decision when it comes to selecting a merchant.

It's flavorless and long-lasting

These make me very happy. I haven't exactly been putting them through their paces to see how durable they are, but after a good wash, I filled them up with water and have had no complaints so far. I've left them in hot cars a few times and found no odor or taste difference, unlike cheaper plastic bottles where I'd just dump the water because the cheaper plastic bottles leach chemicals into the water that changed the taste; I also liked that they were sturdy but not overbuilt, so they stayed lightweight. I'd give it another go.

My regular gym water bottle has been replaced by this one. I saw it for double the price on other websites, but I wasn't willing to pay that. It has so far been able to withstand a few drops while remaining intact. It's something I'd buy again if the opportunity arose.

The bottle's strap snapped almost immediately

If I filled the bottle with water and had it for two days, the plastic at the base of the strap broke, and the bottle fell on concrete. This was a COMMON application. I'm not happy at all.

It's possible it's a knock-off of Nalgen

off! It defired the first time it was washed in the dishwasher. THE HEAT HAD BEEN TURNED OFF FOR THE DRYING PROCESS. However, the temperature of the water was probably too high for it. It's starting to leak as well! DISAPPOINTED TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT! After only one use, I almost threw it away. 😓.

As expected, it functions properly. On a BWCA trip, I beat the crap out of them, and they still look like new. On longer trips, I use this as my go-to source of water.
