A review would have been more helpful, I suppose. He cups have a thin silver plating that wore off after the second cleaning, at least in my case. Under the copper surface (on the inside), you can see the copper. I still see the outside of the house as clean and untarnished. Although I use mine for whiskey, I'm not sure if that will affect it. It is easy to clean the outside with soap/water and to allow it to dry immediately. This might be of some help.
Unfortunately, silver is no longer widely available It is not possible to engrave plate items.
4 1/2 inch tall and hold 12 ounces, the cup measures 4 1/2 inches tall.
It appears the cup is made of copper, plated with silver, and after that it is glazed. So it is likely the engraving will penetrate the silver and reveal the copper metal underneath. In contrast, the engraving on the silver would look different.

intended to show you a photo of our mint julep cups. Using Bluegrass Distillers whiskey from Louisville and fresh spearmint from our garden, we made a Kentucky bourbon whiskey cocktail. Mint juleps will never taste as good as they do in a silver cup, as we said before. You'll love it! Currently in Indiana are JoAnne and Dave Shafer.
The cup I chose is an appropriate style for mint juleps, which I was looking for. Silver plating on the visible surfaces is nice, but we will have to wait a while to find out how thick it It frosts up very well due to its copper core and it has a nice heft to it.
When I used a few drinks and washed my hands with a few, the copper in one of them started rusting. Invest in something else instead of buying. For Reed and Barton, you should pay twice the price. I've had those for years and they are still going strong.
A Copper Mint Julep Cup made with Prince of Scots Copper Mint In its natural state the cup comes polished with a silver finish, though on the outside of the cup, on the ring hidden from view, it looks as if there was no polish finishing on the outside of the cup, but this serves its purpose. It also comes with a cleaning cloth that can be used to clean it.
In anticipation of my son's rehearsal dinner, I ordered three of the mint julep cups to serve as vases for rose arrangements. We found these cups to be classy, affordable for the number of tables we had, and they show off the flowers magnificently. You should check them out!.
As described, the item was exactly what we ordered. It gives off a sulfurous smell and taste to the contents, however, and as such I cannot use it for storing drinks.
