Today, Thursday, May 11, 2019, an update was made. I received a set of cards that was much more improved than previous cards. No apparent defects could be seen in any of the spoons. The 6 spoons were almost identical in shape, with no parts in any way out of place. My experience with this set that was sent to me indicates that these spoons are highly recommended. The spoons I've been using are well balanced as well after using them for a while. Pouring drinks in a clean circular motion without clinking the sides of the glass is the best method of stirring them. It is commendable that the seller cares about the opinions and concerns of their customers. We wanted to love these spoons, but the quality is nothing to write home about. In some cases, the heads of the spoons weren't filed correctly, resulting in an almost sharp edge. The stainless steel on one of them is rubbed away revealing a silver core that does not look stainless in any way. My first thought would be to cut them in half to see if they are plated if I weren't returning them to Amazon. It was a very dissatisfying experience. These feel very heavy, even though they look great. It appears that the quality control on these is poor. Three or four of the 12 I purchased were sharp enough that I wouldn't want to use them. One had pealing plating. Although they were some of the more expensive ones on Amazon, I would say you get what you pay for. UPDATED So the company has reached out to see what they can do about my concerns. They sent me another set of spoons and informed me that they are working on improving their quality However, some of the spoons still had the sharp edges mentioned above (although not as much as they once were), and one spoon had some rough spots where it hadn't been polished properly (that one doesn't peel In asking my wife to look through them, we came up with the conclusion that most spoons in a package pose a reasonable question to warrant not using them. The customer service is prompt and the company appears to care about their product. I guess the issue is with their supplier, but their prices are still quite expensive. A star is added to the rating because the spoons that do not have defects really are good spoons. A solid, solid weight, strong, and attractive looking product. As long as their QC gets to a point where only one out of every hundred spoons in each box are bad, this will be a solid 5 star product, but for now, you may get two or three spoons that aren't from high quality boxes.
