I updated this on March 23rd, 21. As soon as I used one spoon, I wrote my first review. The coating on some of the items needed to be sanded off and some of them were brittle. They're used every day, I never soak them, and I always hand wash and dry them right away. Not only did I not expect they would last forever, but I didn't expect to need to buy more in In fact, I bought food as well A mineral oil of high grade to replace the coating when it wears off (once it has been eaten I have seen reviews of other wooden spoons where the coating has a chemical smell, but this one is packaged nicely, arrived ahead of schedule, no smell (I've seen reviews where complaints about the coating's chemical scent were made). wooden spoons are the perfect size and the handles look more rounded than flat, so I selected them. Those silver spoons from my daily life (remember that program? Thanks for giving me the chance to try these I'm so glad I It is quite likely that others may suffer from the same problem as me since the spoon that I opened yesterday had a tiny imperfection. The edge of this leaf was sharp and I would have no doubt scraped my lip, but not cut it. It was actually my fingernail I used to knock it off or file it down until I could no longer feel or hear it. As soon as i had finished hand-washing the spoon and making sure my towel was not snagged, I dried it with my towel. It was time for dinner! The handle of these spoons is very comfortable. that's tedious when you eat so slowly as I I prefer these wooden spoons because the handles are not too wide, and the handles don't make me feel like I'm eating with a "pot spoon" (that's not mine, I have friends who call theirs A certain feeling comes over me when I read it.
The pros are As I bought these, I mistakenly thought they were smaller and had only planned on using them for serving coffee, specifically in my French press. Meals with these are very good to me. When you eat with them, they're a little bigger, and the inside of the spoon curves deeper so less food spills out. It is so much more pleasant eating a meal with a wooden spoon than with a metal one. It has grown on me so much that I recently purchased a second set. As much as I love cooking for friends, they love eating them for dinner as well. Generally, I use my wooden spoon all the time now, and I use my metal spoons very rarely. Thank you for this purchase! I'm very happy with it! The cons are It is unlikely that the finish of these will last, and I am not sure how to take care of them It seems that I should rub them with mineral oil every now and then, but I will need to research this.
Both the look and the feel of it are nice. Looks like it was dipped in resin because of its sturdiness and shine. 5/5 for look, durability, and shine. An attractive varnish or resin finish is used on it. A smooth shiny finish or coating doesn't make much sense to me. I will buy bamboo utensils next time or anything that isn't.
I was shocked when I saw the first line of the business card that came with it read, "This product is ceramic. ". Wouldn't it be more concise and clear to just mention that at the beginning of the description. There is deceit in this advertisement.
The spoons would be used to make batter in a mixing bowl, as well as for the mixing. Handles are too short for that, as the item is more of a soup spoon and not a mixing instrument. Good quality wood has been used in the manufacturing of the product.
They look very elegant and tastefully done. They're also a lot of had expected them to be bigger in size to be used for cooking, but I think they can be used for eating and for serving, not for.
I can't speak to the durability yet, but I have only tried them.
