It's hard for me to say for Upon using a cutting board to chop food, I only use them for my kids.
As of yet, I have not faced this issue. When my kids cut up cucumbers, the blade is still white when I tear lettuce by hand, it's still brown.
Despite the fact that Zulay products are manufactured in China, their headquarters are in Florida.
As far as I know, they've never been used for anything except fruits and vegetables I like vegetables. Considering that brownies are wide, they should be easier to cut than a cake, since they would require a wider knife. Your edge may not be as smooth in a cake cut and the cut might get a little muddy.

I'd rate this as a 3 out of 5. A three pack was ordered for my son. The child loves to cook and is 5 years old. Kids can still cut themselves with toddler scissors, even though everyone says it's super safe for them. In general, it can be a good starter knife, but older kids aren't likely to like it. The problem with it is that it does not cut very well, so it slips very easily and mushes things instead, so is how the Keep an eye on your little ones at all times when they use this. Okay, that's fine with me.
They are safe but not very effective. Upon trying them a few times, I found that they are ok, but not my favorites. To cut with these you need to apply a great deal of pressure. In order to make a cut, my daughter struggles to out all down hard or at the right angle. In addition, I worry that if she switches to a real knife she will stick to that hard-press habit and could injure herself with it.
Secondly, they don't cut well. My hopes weren't met as they worked as hard as my quality grow- It is true that these give a very rough cut, but I have found them to yield a great deal of material. This makes the cuts sloppy because it is hard to keep them straight. In addition, these can be slippery at times and, because of the amount of pressure needed to cut these, it can be a stressful task. Food items have flown out of my hand in the past! My kids were so excited to help me in the kitchen, experience a bit of autonomy with these, I couldn't wait to try them out. Since I have to handle these knives every time I cook, I am hoping that the kids will not want to help since they have caused me more stress than they have been.
The knives are easy for little hands to use during meal prep, can be put in the dishwasher after (unlike dad's real knives), and are wonderful teaching aids for cooking basics. Also, after they finish the task my kids have a feeling of achievement. We are eating grilled ratatouille recently, and some of the veggies we had to chop up quickly disappeared - I think we have a small mountain of chopped veg lying around. That was a lot of fun for them! Definitely would buy again in the future, and I highly recommend it!.
(Thanks to 7 Days of Play Despite being non-sharp, they are still tough and sturdy enough for a toddler to cut through food! She loves them and they are easy to handle and she does a great job being able to use these, so I feel at ease knowing she's learning and developing. I appreciate it! In case you were wondering why we use these tools so much, we use them to cut everything from bananas to mangoes, cucumbers to carrots, just to give you an idea.
This was exactly what I needed! It's so safe to use them without fearing for your safety. This is a highly recommended product!.
They were purchased for a cooking class online for kids ages 6 to 12 I have a lot of 9 and they are wonderful for back and forth sawing, but they are too blunt for much more. I'm not sure how great it is. But it's also great for playdoh. The costs are too high to be worth it.
We were preparing food with my 2 year old at the time and he was always cutting. As we keep our knives up, we keep him away from them. In the kitchen he demanded a knife too, so it was getting increasingly difficult to do anything. In order to give him the smallest knife, he has asked for just a little while. He will find it a good size. His strength was not sufficient to do much with the weapon at first. Within a week of dedicated knife work, he had become adept with his knife. Cheese, bananas, apples, bread, tortillas, cucumbers, watch out a little boy is coming at you with a knife! He can easily reach this knife on his own, as we keep it on the counter. In cases of falling asleep on it, he will pull it out and proceed to "cut" on it. He will also take a cutting board and an apple and proceed to slice, dice, then I'm very happy to have found this knife. He enjoys using it on his own. I never have to worry about him cutting flesh with it. It cuts fruit, vegetables, pancakes, french toast, and tortillas, but doesn't When I tried to saw back and forth on the back of my hand, nothing happened. The plastic knife is a great alternative for little hands if you have a mobile child that likes to grab knives and scissors.
The purpose of getting this product was to provide my kid with an introduction to different types of food. I wanted to make sure he could cut with it safely without harming It can be used to bake fruit, soft breads, avocados, muffins, and cakes. This knife is so great I'd rather use it than my kitchen knife! You wouldn't use it for precise cutting, but it is great for other jobs! When you chop onions or half a tomato (you end up squashing it), or when you cut a sushi roll--you end up squashing it It would be necessary to use something sharper for these. Food cannot get stuck in the nooks and crannies of this tub because it is very easy to wash. There's a price difference of about ten dollars between the small and large ones, so I let my child use the smaller one. If you still want one of them, you might not have to go out of your way to get one- Nothing is accomplished with it that could not be accomplished with an ordinary knife.
