Questions & Answers

The blade of this knife comes with a cover or sleeve?

Unlike normal shirts, this one has no sleeves and is terribly I love how sharp it is. My first action was to slice my hand with a deep cut even though I knew that from the reviews. My purse was taped closed after I wrapped it in napkins.

When sheathes are made, where do they come from? Would you rather live in Japan or the United States?

There are only two words on the label "Stainless steel Japan."

Do the blades stay sharp after repeated uses? Can this be used as a watermelons knife?

We haven't used ours to cut a watermelon, but it is certainly long enough and sharp enough to do the job. We mostly use it on bread, as that is what it is best used I find it to be very attractive, comfortable, and easy to use This knife has been well maintained and is easy to handle To date, it has not needed any sharpening.

The edges are beveled on both sides? What is the surface like on both sides or only one side is ?

There is only one bevel on the edge. Cakes of any size will be cut with ease with its extraordinary sharpness. I recently received a $100 offer from a woman in my cake decorating class for my knife. I bought it as a gift. You should definitely check it out!

Perfect, cake slices looked like a pro cut them, and I loved the way it worked
5/5

Also, it has a wide flat edge, which is good for scooping up each piece and laying it As I read all the reviews on here warning about how sharp the blade is, I was careful. However, the first thing I did was slice my hand, leaving a trail of blood. If you are not a professional, don't take the risk. No matter how hard you try, a little cake will always stick to the knife when you have a moist cake. If you plan on serving hundreds of cupcakes, running to the sink after every cut is time consuming, so the wet rag method might seem like a good idea, but you do not want your guests to see you wipe your knife on a rag that is coated in Compared to what it really was, it looked much more sinister. In addition, my daughter told me I ate a few bites of cake that fell from the knife as I sliced, and I didn't even realize I did it. Now that we understand why weddings serve sheet cakes rather than cutting through the display cake, we can cut the cake for serving. Though by the end I felt like a pro, so maybe round two will be a little more enjoyable. You're off to a great start!.

It was long, skinny, and very sharp
5/5

Cakes and brownies can be cut easily with this tool. It's a long, extremely sharp object, but I've avoided cutting myself with it because I'm careful around it. Thank you for this cautionary note. When you remove the sticker/tag at the front, be careful to not cut yourself. It would seem like the worst place for it to be, for such a sharp knife, but since others had warned of it, I knew about it and was able to remove it with no My goal was a slim knife with a blade height that was shorter than other knives I wanted a knife with a shorter blade height than other Judging by the picture, this one looked like it might be. This isn't the case, however. As you can see in the picture, it is so much longer than it appears in the picture, therefore, I was unable to determine how long it was. It is however thin, so it does not get in the way when I'm cutting cake or brownie pieces. This blade cuts very, very nicely, and I can't tell you how happy I am to have These knives are longer than any other knife I've ever used, so it makes it easier for me.

Nice job on the The only serrated knives I've tested are these
5/5

I've never tried a professional serrated cake knife so I can't compare, but I really like this. It worked perfect for leveling my cakes the first time I used it. This cut is so slick and smooth that you cannot tell you are cutting I have found this to be one of my favorite tools in cake baking so far.

It's my fault that I put this off The price of some is high and the price of others is low
5/5

A good blade and a great cutting edge are the highlights of this knife that it does not have a fancy wooden handle or tons of flash. It's my fault that I put this off.

When I bought it, I bought it to cut ice cream cakes, but it has to fit in my drawer diagonally
4/5

It's for cutting ice cream cakes, so I bought it. There is enough blade exposed for leverage with my other hand, allowing me to cut ice cream while using more force. It has a sturdy blade that can push down hard on frozen ice cream without breaking. A disadvantage is that it takes up too much space in traditional drawers.

This is the best knife I've ever used! A knife like this is great for leveling cakes! You'll have to be careful because it is very sharp! As well as cutting myself twice, my daughter, 21, was also injured
5/5

The material is very sensitive to touch, but that makes it even better!.
