The top edging bar can be removed, is that possible? From looking at the bar, I would say you couldn't possibly get an 11 inch cake because of it. ?

Yes, it can be removed. You twist in a pin when you apply the buttercream to hold the top scraper at the desired level and height on the cake. Having just acquired mine, I found it a bit clumsy at first, but as time goes on it will become more intuitive. The best is yet to come

An easy way to save time making cakes

The one you've chosen is great! I used the metal so I could run hot water over it and it smoothed out the buttercream, made a perfect, symmetrical cake, and saved me hours trying to eyeball levels on the A height that can be adjusted.

I dislike it! The middle of the cake is scraped off, but that isn't a big deal, I can fix it - I was wrong in thinking that the "scraper" would leave the cake. My wish was for a cake that was perfectly round or square. There is a chance of happening. There might be something wrong with what I'm doing.
