Each knife was only about a dollar, so I definitely got my money's worth. Shipped in a quantity of 50 Yes, they're stainless steel, yes, they're durable, and yes, you can cut and spread things with them. However, they're utilitarian, heavy, flat, and inelegant, like something you'd find in a roadside diner that just got some new silverware, and nothing more. br>br>NOTE: THIS PAGE HAS BEEN UPDATED. Even after being washed twice in the dishwasher, these knives left a strong metallic taste on everything they came into contact with. Though I am not an expert, I am concerned about elemental chromium leaching into your food, and I informed Amazon of my concerns, which resulted in a refund. It is strongly advised that you exercise caution when making a purchase because the manufacturer may have taken a manufacturing shortcut. A VERY strong metallic taste lingered on my tongue that refused to go away.
These knives are filthy to say the least. Examine the serrations and put them to the test by slicing through something soft and light, such as cheese. br>br>If it hadn't been white feta cheese, I wouldn't have noticed the dark residue left by the knife. Yes, they were washed before being used. Ugh!.
They were fine when I washed them by hand before using them; however, when I washed them in the dishwasher the second time, four of the six appear to be rusted. It was a waste of money! Next time, I'll probably invest more in butter knives.
We bought these for our outdoor dining area so we wouldn't have to bring our "good" steak knives outside. br>br>For what it's worth, I think I prefer these to our indoor steak knives. They're straightforward, effective, long-lasting, and simple to clean. They have a nice weight to them and do not have a cheap feel to them.
In a matter of weeks, the knives had rusted. We've been washing them in the dishwasher with powder detergent and they're starting to rust at the serrated blade.
They aren't cheap, but they rust in a month? They are, after all, "disposable. " Make sure you don't throw your money away.
They had all become tainted. What a colossal squandering of resources.
Knives of exceptional quality!.
