Please keep in mind that the color of the product varies depending on the type of soil (dark or light golden brown). There was no glue or lacquer used in the finishing process; only coconut oil was used. This is simply to protect the health of our valued customers. 100% EASY TO TAKE CARE Wash them in warm water with a soft sponge to maintain their qualities. They should be hung to dry. If our spatulas become clogged, simply soak them in water for 5 minutes before washing. When not in use, please store them in a dry location. Teak products that are exposed to oil and heat usually darken in color, but they are still perfectly usable.

Questions & Answers
Is it safe to use natural dish soap and hot water on these, or will the wood become dry?
I clean these spreaders with soap and water. They're still going strong after a year. I hasten to add, as with most wooden utensils that are used frequently. They'll eventually fade away, but for the price of these spreaders, they're a great deal. They're fantastic, and I'm a huge fan.
Is it okay if I make designs on these with my wood burner?
There's no issue.

Gorgeous. The only thing I'm not sure about is the thickness of the blade, which is a little more than I expected. I guess I was expecting it to be extremely thin (like a knife). It isn't, so we'll see how it feels and functions. In any case, even if I don't use them as butter knives, they'll be useful as utensils and cheese spreaders at parties and other events. I like the feel (and the feel good story about the company) so much that I'll be buying more, but this time cooking utensils!.

These are very attractive, but they are not of the highest quality. Don't soak one in water after you've used it. It will absorb water and become strange, just like any other wood, and the edges will become rough and chippy with use, which is disappointing. I wouldn't use them if I was worried about putting too much pressure on them. I think they're only capable of softened butter, jam, and peanut butter.

I'm a big fan of these wooden knives. These were purchased for my two young children, ages 2 and 5, to use in cutting play dough or soft fruits and vegetables. This is ideal because it allows them to learn how to use a knife.

Amazing! These are fantastic! I bought a similar set (of two spreaders) a few years ago, and while it was more expensive, it was not as nice; these are much larger, and much better quality, and cost less! I gave two of them to my girlfriend because they came in a set of four

While on vacation in Connecticut and staying at my son's house, I used a wooden butter knife. It appealed to me, and I intended to buy a set. I adore them, and they spread bitters, jams, and preserves beautifully.

It's a great way to get the word out

I used a wood burner to write SWEDEN on the handle, which was a little thicker than the expensive "real" one I bought in Sweden, but I wanted to make souvenirs for kids, so I used a wood burner to write SWEDEN on the handle! They liked the knife, I saved a lot of money, and everyone was pleased.
