The actual color is a little darker than the bright yellow shown in the image (as I see it). A yellow more like that of a sunflower. A light cream or beige color is not present.
Five and a quarter inches long are the cocktail forks. I really enjoy working with them. Their quality is excellent and they are very durable. All of us use the cocktail forks, spoons and knives every day of the week.

Forks designed for kids are often created by legal departments who are overly paranoid about real food and design them to be more like serrated spoons that take food particles from the mouth. It has a nicely curving shape that encourages children to turn the fork after stabbing so that they can pick up their food properly. It is the perfect size for little hands, it is well balanced, and it has real tines that easily stab food. You may as well get a matching set of spoons while you're at it. It is a big surprise to many parents that the spoons come with real bowls in them that they can reach into. Food can be held in your hands! You can eat soup too! I was looking for forks like these for years when my son was growing up (we had two, but I can't remember where we got them), and searching for flatware labeled "children's" brought me nothing but frustration. As soon as I found these on Amazon, I was practically jumping for joy.
Additionally, they make excellent cocktail forks when used for the intended purpose. Cutlery of just the right size for a toddler or little kid. Since these silverware pieces have deep and sharp tines, they actually pick up food, unlike most silverware out there designed for little kids who are unable to do so. The inexpensive imitation I bought a few years ago didn't work as well. As I drafted this, I just had a thought. It has been over thirty years since I have had this brand of utensils Over the years, I have purchased a variety of colors and they have held up well. The pieces I purchased were unbalanced weight wise and broke down fast when I bought a cheap imitation in the past. I am very satisfied with the performance of this line.
