My first reaction was to think they were smaller than I expect, but I then remembered they are for children rather than parents. In other words, I find the bottles to be the right size for my 7 month old and I don't worry about her swallowing them or being able to gag on them.

It's hard to get her to give up the spoon, so I give her one of these, and she's good at holding on to it. This is a small piece of jewelry that she can chew on without having to worry about metal damaging her. I have a baby who can grab these like a champ, but the thin neck on the spoon makes it wiggle around a bit more when she tries to eat it. It is more convenient for me to hold our spoons that have a wide base attached to them- that has a better grip Compared to a guard, they are simply a lot more durable.

have been using this spoon with my 5 month old since the day he was born! Chewing on the spoon is her favorite activity, which she encourages her to do on her own. The handles are easy for babies to hold, and there is a stopper on the handle that keeps them from putting the toys too far in their mouths. They are the coolest spoons I've ever seen! The best spoons for kids who are learning. This is what I purchased for my seven month old to get used to spoons and it seems to be working. Baby or toddler can hold them comfortably as they are small and the design does not cause gag reflexes.
