Questions & Answers

Is this made of clay?

No, not the kind made of clay. They have a thin, white milk glass appearance to them. They're lightweight, durable, and haven't chipped or broken yet. We're seniors, so their versatility and light weight are important to us. We use them to reheat foods in the microwave and on the dishwasher's highest sanitary setting, but they warn consumers not to use them on stovetop burners or under the broiler. We like them despite the fact that they don't appear to be rich or luxurious.

Is it safe to eat these dishes because they don't contain any lead?

Corning has confirmed the presence of lead and cadmium in their dishware prior to 2005, according to their website. In response to a customer inquiry about the safety and proper use of their vintage Corelle dinnerware from the year 2000 (note: vintage is a term that refers to a product that has been around for at least 20 years The following is what a Corelle customer service representative said in response: "Prior to the 1990s, almost all glass and ceramic ware produced anywhere on the planet contained lead." Corelle has risen to the top of the market for lead-free products as of 2018. Dishware is available for no cost. That's fine if you stick to plain white dinnerware. Despite the fact that many of their new products are lead-free, Despite being free, these products have tested positive for Cadmium (in specific colors) – at levels that I would consider potentially concerning, given that Cadmium is a known carcinogen.

Is there a difference in height between these two?

Yes, the sides are slightly higher than the middle, just enough to keep food and sauce from slopping over the edge. These plates are one of our favorites.

The plate in this seller's photo appears to be tinted blue. Do they have a bright white color to them?

The color is a true bright white, not blue in the least.

They aren't Corelle plates, in my opinion! My mother and I both have a corelle dinner set, which includes dinner plates, small plates, bowls, and mugs
3/5

The Registered logo and font, as well as the message (break and chip resistant), are on all of them. All of them came from the Corning Museum of Glass in Corning, New York. br>br>The ones I got from Amazon are fine, but the logo is different, the color is slightly off, and the border is a little thick. br>As a result, I'm not convinced they're Corelle originals. The plates, on the other hand, appear to be in good condition. br>In a month, I'll make a new review.

I enjoy getting the best of the best, and I usually enjoy getting the best of the best regardless of the cost
5/5

Sure, the expensive ceramic plates look fancy, but they chip and crack easily, so you'll have to buy more plates to keep them looking good enough to show off. Then you've got yourself some heavy-duty plates, similar to what you'd find in a restaurant. The problem with those is that the designs aren't very good, and the finish wears off quickly, making it look very worn after a short period of time. This plate, for example, is made of glass. There is no finish or glaze to wear off as a result of this. It's also more lightweight and will never chip. In addition, they take up less storage room. Not to mention the fact that they are extremely inexpensive. The design is the only negative aspect. It's white, round, and as basic as they come. It isn't something to brag about. It's not a major issue, though. Why? I'm a guy, and I don't have anyone in my life who would advise me to buy expensive dishes, so utilitarianism is the name of the game when it comes to my purchasing decisions. As a result, these are the ones I've chosen.

This is a rip-off! This is a SCAM! I already have Corelle plates and purchased these because I'll be having a large family gathering for Thanksgiving dinner
3/5

As soon as I took the first one out of the box, I knew it was a knockoff. They are noticeably thicker than genuine Corelle, and the back logo is incorrect. Take care of your knock-off problem, Amazon!.

It appears to me that everything is in order
5/5

Because it had sheet music storage, I was interested in this piano/keyboard bench. It was simple to assemble and appears to be of good quality. As a 58- year- I despise putting things together, but I was able to do it on my own as an elderly woman. Because things aren't made the same way they used to be, you never know how long they'll last. So far, it's held up well after only a few weeks of use. Because the bench's storage area isn't as deep as that of a real piano bench, you'll need to adjust your expectations. It's around two. It's only 25 inches deep, so there's not much room for storage. We only keep loose sheet music and thin music books in there. I'm glad I got it all in the end.

Even if Corelleware occasionally breaks, these are affordable
5/5

The items were well-packaged and arrived in perfect condition. br>br>These are a little heavier than our current Corelle plates (which have a black ring near the edge of the white plate, so I figured these would go well with them). br>br>The tempered glass dishes are easy to clean, but we lose one or two a year due to breakage - It's our fault, because it usually results in them being thrown to the floor on their backs. br>br>However, I will continue to choose them because of their lighter weight than stoneware and their ease of cleaning, both of which are important to me as I am elderly and disabled.

We've had some of the best plates in our lives! We ordered more because we love them so much! Previously, we had purchased a 9
5/5

We found 5"-ish versions of these plates at Target a while back, and when they were no longer available, we went to Amazon. We wanted more, and these were the closest size we could find for a much lower price than ordering directly from the manufacturer's website. br>br>These are a pure white color, and we've never had any issues with scratches or discoloration from use. We've had them for years and they have never broken. When we unboxed the plates, one of the bottoms had some smudges on it, but they washed off or scratched off easily with a fingernail. Check out the images.

light and airy I've only had these plates for a few days, but I'm already in love with them
5/5

They're very light, but when I dropped two of them, they didn't break. Because I have arthritis in my hands, I needed something lighter, and these fit the bill perfectly.
