These are appetizers that I make with them. in the interest of individuals for real. However, if I had cats and needed shallow dishes to avoid whisker friction, I would go with this option. Small portions of these, I believe, would work well. There aren't many sides at all. That's all there is to it!
They are, in fact, 4X4 vehicles. However, it was not properly packed. One of the four packages was damaged when it arrived. Because I only needed two, I didn't bother to follow up.
I haven't unpacked these in a long time, so I'm not sure. For decades, I don't believe lead has been used in glaze.
Yes, they can be microwaved as well as put in the dishwasher.

I needed a few plates to display small appetizers, and these fit the bill perfectly (they come in a set of four). 5 x 4. 5 inches 5 inches. They stack well for storage, but be careful when stacking them because heavy handling can cause them to chip or break. I would hand wash them instead of putting them in the dishwasher because the clanking of glass in a tightly packed dishwasher may be too much. It's not a lot of work because they're small to begin with. br>br>The plates arrived quickly and look exactly as they do in the picture. I am a satisfied customer who will return to place additional orders.
These small plates have a nice shape and weight to them. But keep in mind that they're tiny and won't work in most appetizer situations. I've found them to be more useful as small bread plates (they don't take up much space on the table but allow guests to put bread on a separate surface from their dinner plate) or for serving small portions of dessert, and they're also useful for snacks when you don't want to smear larger plates. They come in handy - However, not in the way I had envisioned when I purchased them. To use for appetizers, I went ahead and bought larger 6x6 square porcelain plates.
I bought a set of these on clearance many years ago and used them on the buffet or appetizer table for small cheese rounds, etc. They eventually slid to the back of the drawer and we didn't notice them. After a flurry of re-creation, one day When I was putting everything away, I put these small dishes in the same drawer as the everyday dishes, and we began to use them over time. Often. Not only for serving appetizers at parties, but also for preparing lunch for ourselves. Yes. They're not particularly large. That's how it's supposed to work. Snacks for the kids, perfect. Appetizers, perfect. Baked egg in a toast cup, perfect. Tea sandwiches, perfect. A few steamed shrimp with a dab of sauce, perfect. We make our own Sashimi (raw, diced fish in sauce), perfect. air- tight (no need for plastic wrap). And, because we've discovered that we use them so frequently, we're expanding the collection. Porcelain is an excellent investment. It looks great, doesn't stain, is easy to clean, and holds up well. Perfect!.
Because I know cats don't like their whiskers touching the side of a bowl when they eat, I bought these to use as cat food dishes. That's great in theory, but these didn't really work for that. When I give them wet food, they eat half of it and then throw the other half on the floor - ha! However, they are of excellent quality and can be used for appetizers or other purposes.
The bottoms of these plates are unfinished [glazed]. The rim depth is very slight--not a pleasant feeling to handle and hold in the hand. Making a very selective serving dish with a depth of less than 1/2 inch. I'm not going to buy it again.
I purchased a dozen of these small square plates and use them on a regular basis. Who knew? They're small, but perfect for a snack, a cookie, a teabag, a coaster, appetizers, a spoon rest, a small bread plate, a dipping plate, and so on. These plates are used on a daily basis and multiple times throughout the day. They're workhorses in the truest sense of the word. The lip is one of my favorite features because it keeps whatever is on one's person self-contained. kept in check They spend the entire day in and out of the dishwasher, stacking neatly.
I use these to feed my cat wet food, and they're great. We've broken two in the last year or so, so I'll be buying more.
