Purchasing this for our teenage son who is ramen mad was a Christmas gift. In addition to being sturdy, it is beautiful and of adequate size to microwave Ramen packets and also add additional vegetables, eggs, etc. without spilling over. Inset white glaze is used on the cherry blossoms on both the bowl and spoon. Even if we don't use the lid much other than to decorate with due to using a microwave, it fits well and seems well made.

I love it. Due to the package's thorough design, I ordered four of them and they all arrived in perfect condition. I made my husband a delicious soup set as a birthday gift this year because he has always made the most delicious Japanese/Hawaiian dishes. This year we didn't do anniversary gifts but we invested in a soup set instead. We're going to be taking extra care of these in the hopes that we can enjoy them for a long time. They're so beautiful, I had to put them on a shelf instead of storing That's what I'm obsessed with!.

I like this bowl very much

While it took some time to get to me, I was so pleased when it did! It has a lovely design and it is very sturdy. With my love for ramen and wanting a nice bowl to compliment meal time, I opted for this stoneware dish. It is thick and heavy, just as I had hoped. As it has texture on the inside of the bowl from the special glazing on my set (black and white swirls), it may take a little longer to clean, but you just have to rinse it right after to be fine. Very handsome set, and I am very happy with it. My friend's birthday is coming up so I will be purchasing another.

The entire set is amazing to me. Heat is well retained in the bowl due to its solid construction. It appears that the top got a bit wet after a few uses, because for some reason it warped slightly. Though it will rock a little when it is used, it has no other effect. It is also very pretty when it is blue. As a result, you'll want to keep pot holders with you since it holds heat so well. It's not difficult to hold the bowl by the ring at the bottom or the top if you can't find your pot holders, so long as you have medium-sized hands.

There is no better bowl than this one. It's hard to choose between these bowls, but I think they're beautiful. It's hard to figure out how we love the chopsticks so much, but the bowls and spoons are gorgeous as well! Compared to each other, they fit very well in the hand and have just enough texture on the surface to make picking them up easy.
