Bormioli Rocco Capitol Decanter 23.75 oz

I recall reading that it was supposed to be engraved, but it isn't. Since my brother drinks, he sweats when he sees it. It's painted on this and was a Christmas gift. This was finally used on his birthday and those supposed engravings are smearing off now. Since he doesn't drink very often, that's not a big deal, but it took his birthday a while to use! There are definite reasons to be displeased and I won't be making another purchase with them.

There is a slight error in the etching, which is the only reason for four stars. Look closely, you can see where they started etching the personalization a little lower and to the left of where it is supposed to be (photo The rest of it looks beautiful now that it was corrected. There is only one angle from which you can see the error. Despite being a beautiful piece, it does not complement our decanter that we bought A year ago, capital was raised. It is impossible to see the error in photo #2.

Keep your eyes open and don't let anyone else blame you. It is my fault that I did not read the overview of this decanter before ordering it. I assumed it was crystal and not made A taller decanter would have been nice to me Due to my error, they had everything listed in the summary, so I can't give it a poor rating. The product has already been engraved, so it's unlikely it can be returned. Based on what I thought would be the result if I ordered this one, I rated it a 4. This elegant decanter is made of sturdy glass and fits snugly in place, with a nice weight to it. This bottle holds the exact same amount of beverage as a 750ML bottle. That engraving is beautiful. I wish the stem could be engraved with the same initials as the stem. My order arrived about a week earlier than I expected because of good packaging and timely delivery.

I like the way it looks, but I don't like the way the seal is. In my experience, I have put some really excellent cognac (Remy XO and Remy VSOP) into this decanter several times, and each time the cognac becomes very bitter due to air getting in. I am not in a deal. It did not hold a good seal regardless of how tight I locked the top in.

As for the glass itself, I like how thick and heavy it is. The thinness does not make it fragile. It is the absence of a plug at the top that makes me give it 1 star. The plug is now stuck in the bottle even though we did not use excessive force to open it. I'm embarrassed as my husband watches me with my glue gun as I try to reattach the glass top plug to the glass top mold. On the amazon photos, the custom print looks less pronounced and bold than it does in real life. I don't see much detail in it. I have included a video showing how faint the image is. It was disappointing. You should not spend your money on this.

A friend of mine allowed me to buy this as a wedding/anniversary present, and I was pleasantly surprised at its quality for such an affordable price. I chose Design 2 for the monogram, and it turned out better than I expected. It is a very good decanter and I am extremely happy with it. When we poured whiskey into it, the decanter looked even more attractive. If you're trying to decide between different decanters being sold on Amazon, this one definitely appears to be worth the price and it will likely suit your needs. You do not have to worry about the cap becoming loose and breaking since it is attached securely to the decanter and does not come out easily. A bonus for me was that the decanter was completed and shipped sooner than expected.

Amazon had seven different types of decanters for me. This Godinger Dublin Whiskey Decanter is a great gift for drinking whiskey! It's the best! The heavy glass, the full glass stopper (no plastic) and the really good quality of the Bormioli Rocco Capitol Decanter should be noted. A 2nd Best! This was a gift I bought for my son's father for Father's Day, and so far, he is extremely pleased with Glass of good quality and thickness was used for the window. Someone else in another review stated that the engraving is painted on, however it is in fact engraved. As advertised, the design was exactly as advertised, the name and initial were all in capital letters. Because I received my order before fathers day and the delivery date was supposed to be after Fathers Day, I was very glad to get it before that date. I appreciate the well packaged product. The top is packaged up in a little box separate from the decanter so the two do not bump against each other during delivery. I would only disagree with the seal in regard to the glass and engraving, but it does appear to be of poor quality. If you know where to buy one on its own, you can actually replace it with a different one on your It does come with a clear plastic seal, but it is made of a cheap, thin Apart from that, it is a good product at an affordable.
