Playing a joke.
My teak outdoor furniture is made of teak, so I purchased these to put outside. It is more comfortable to keep them outdoors during good weather than to My table does not get wet, even when I drink sweaty drinks in the summer sun, since the cork absorbs quickly. Definitely a purchase I would make.
